I am a Massage Therapist and while working with clients I often give firm, but gentle orders. Example, "Just relax...RELAX. Look, just let your body go limp!" Then I proceed to let my sadistic side loose and beat the hell out of them on the table. Deep Tissue work, my specialty!

Since July 2001.......production manager of a small printing company.....for my main income.

I've always got other irons in the fire. Photography brings in a dollar here and there. Occasionally I will work with a horse for someone. I've just done all sorts of interesting things. One or two were not even legal![;)]

I have been an Tile Setter in the Union
I have been an Iron Worker Erecting Buildings

I have been a Security Officer
I have been an Office Manager
I have been a Sales Associate Manager
I have worked on a Production line
I have RAN a Production line
I designed Web Sites for Porn Stars
I was a Thief
I once ate green eggs and ham with a fox and in a box
I have worked on a Political Campaign
I have worked for people with connections collecting money
I have been the guy who cleans out port-a-pottys
I have even worked for a Landscaping Company.

Now I am a Dom and these are the jobs that I have had however I do not believe that these are Dom Jobs if you catch my drift.

Papa is in Law enforcment. And he is also in a leadership position over his peers.

However, I agree your job has nothing to do with your ability to dominate or submit. I have a very submissive nature, but have always had  jobs where I was quickly put into a leadership role and excelled. When I met Papa, I was working in a law enforcment type of job (animal cruelty investigator), Where I was a team leader. I was given that position because I have a reputation in my community and in my field as someone that gets stuff done, gets it done right, and doesn't take shit.
Papa has told me that he knew I was *the one* because he would come to take me to lunch and I would be giving out orders and 'handlin bizniz', but the minute I was alone with him I turned into his sweet little pet. He loved that I wasn't such a pushover for everyone.

I am simultaneously on both sides of the question in my current positon. I work in a store, running a photo lab. To the customer I am soft spoken, sweet and very accomodating. I am very helpful and patient and they all rave about how fantastic I am.
To my coworkers, I am a bear. Things are done MY way in the lab. My managers dont even dare change things becasue even a box out of place and I will go find someone and find out why. I do not take any shit, and I expect everything run exactly the way I want it without too many questions. I tell my head manager, you brought me in here to make your lab better becasue I dont take any shit. That includes, though, from you.

So, the answer really IS yes.

The D and top-types I know tend to be creative people, artists and musicians and such. Might be more that those are the sort of people I hang out with, though, lol.

Field engineer in IT.
I work by myself, with customers, or with a small team on short projects. I rarely go to my office and I am basically left alone as long as I don't screw up. It is 99% less soul crushing than my last job working on long term projects as a warm body burning through billable hours for a mega sized consulting behemoth.

I work in a machine shop, which mostly makes spare parts for heavy industry.  Specifically, I mostly kick back in my old age while my computer (NC) lathe does the real work as well as oversee any assembly work that's needed, particularly gearboxes, trackwheels and drive-shafts etc - which yousta be my main job before I got all old and decrepid.... ;-)
 
Aggressive?  I'm reactively aggressive; ie, I don't start trouble but I'm nobody's "meat", either!  'Positive' might be a more apt description, along with opinionated and outspoken when I do have something to say.  Kinda like my CM life....
 
Alpha male?  No, I'm best described as independent.  I don't need to be the biggest ego in the room (or even need to be in that room) and nor did I ever "suffer" from peer pressure.  I go my own pace and course or follow those whom it might suit me to follow at a given time.  I'm even fine if someone else needs to be the alpha in that room; as long as they don't do it at my expense - refer to "reactively aggressive", above....

Master is a Database engenier.......or something along those lines.  He works from home and sees his bosses a few times a week through phone/video conferenceing. He is very no nosense, quick to get things done, and quick to call attention to an idiot underling, and also quick to praise someone on a job well done, quick to fix his own mistakes.
And all thought he is obviously quick at work....at home....


Lets just say he is not quick behind closed doors....mwhahahahahaha

my b/f who is a Dominant, just not mine, is a manager in the dairy dept at a local grocery.  OMFG, what His work has done to His arms, *drool*.
Daddy works with the government, that is all i know really. 
Both Daddy and my b/f are ex- military, special ops.

There's no one set way for doms to be. That'd be like asking are oranges sweet on the tree but sour in the kitchen.. There's no definitive answer, it depends on the dom and on the orange.

A DOM will work any damn job they so choose, desire or please.  There are no specific types of jobs that are common for Doms.
