Huzzah for the library, where I checked out More Big Girl Knits.  The first book, Big Girl Knits, (duh) is based on a genius premise of building a pattern on the basis of the lady's biggest part, Boobs, Belly, Butt, or some combination.  From there....it was like WTF??   The fashions were just NOT the thing that anyone that I know would wear.

First of all, where do they find these fat chicks that do not have spare chins?  And no rolls of plushness?  Even Moi, who does not shop in the plus size department, has a few Unsightly Bulges that need to be disguised rather than accentuated.  I certainly would not wear a wrap sweater over my plunging decollete!

Anyhoo, the second book has much better designs, and much more wearable stuff.

I shop in the plus size department and I still couldn't tell you where they got those models. On the plus size, I'll have to keep an eye out for that book. The premise sounds good!

Okay, the big girl knits book is very good overall, though does NOT abound in patterns for the Bountiful of Bewb.  Still, I am making a hoodie, a shawl, and a really cute cami/tank top.

I have to share my triumph. Yesterday I finished weaving in the ends of a beanie. I have a finished project!! It only took me Two bleeding years!! (I'm such a slacker)
So going by how long it takes me to finish something (knit beanie 2 hours, get around to weave in ends 2 years). My stash will last a few lifetimes.

Anyone in Perth need some yarn?

Hehe - i too have ufos - a baby shawl that i started for my sisters first baby - she just had her second. A quilt i started and gave to my Sir for his birthday - and still isn't finished - and we have been together for two and a half years, a shrug i started for my daughter when she moved to Minnisota with her dad, she has been back a year and it still isn't finished.
i also taught my self to tat, but unless you have a use for the finished product, what do you do with it?

Those are just the recent ones. I also taught myself wood carving (played hell with my carpal tunnel), chaine maille, and am starting with acrylic painting.  Its hell to be crafty!!!! *sigh* - contemplates room that Sir makes me keep the door shut because its such a mess.  Wood, wool yarn, fabric, and all the debris that one collects in 50 years.  And thats after sorting it out when i moved in with Sir.

I could drag my stash to you?
I have a visit to NY planned in late December. So hoping it snows.
Ohhh just thought winter in the US.
I have an excuse for more projects. Zomg!

I actually really need some knitting advice. I finished everything but the weaving ends on a long scarf. Its baby blue, pink and cream stripped bunny angora 100%. Its the softest, fluffiest most pet-able scarf , however - Fluff everywhere, Wearing it would mean walking around in my own angora fluff "snow" storm.
It gets in your eyes, attaches like a magnet to every dark surface. I spent a FORTUNE on that yarn. How do you stop it shedding?

Uhhhhhhhh, seababy? Where in New York? You do know that I'm right over the border from New York, right? Hint, hint, hint.....   Niagara Falls, Buffalo?  And cam shots work just fine for me, I ain't picky, I just want to see!

I'll ask around about the "fluff" issue for you. I'm on Ravelry and they're a great group for asking things like this.

Staying with a friend in New Jersey.
I have wanted to visit the MET for some time and I'm looking forward to seeing NY at Christmas.
I'm only visiting for about 4 weeks so hopefully there will be a munch or some BDSM event to go to while I'm there.

Yes, according to what I'm reading on Ravelry. Seababy, here's a reply on a thread similar to your question:

From Knitter’s Review:
Angora fibers benefit from being “shocked,” which is the practice of submerging your yarn into very hot water, then cold water, then back and forth a few times more before whacking the skein of yarn against a hard surface a few times. This causes the fibers to both bloom and more firmly adhere to one another.
You could still use this method with your finished sweater, but it’s probably best to just dunk in hot/cold water and not try the whacking thing. I would also avoid swishing the sweater around in the water so it doesn’t felt.

LadyRainfire thank you for the advice. Ill try that out tomorrow when I get home from work.
I just have to be careful not to go too far and felt it.

Any one who has a finished project, send a pic my way! (HINT!) I would love to see what everyone else is doing.
Maybe Ill get inspired to finish a few more.
