Welcome to the forum Passion!

I love the Gor books. I am fascinated by John Norman's vision of a world where society does not get in the way of our lifestyle as it does in the real world. His books are pure escapist fantasy, kind of like the lord of Rings, if it had slave sex scenes, men totally dominating womens' body and soul, and like 40 sequels books.

Lots of fun!

my first rt Master (7 years long relationship) sent me the Sleeping Beauty series...interesting and arousing to read - but more fiction to me..s..

My very first book i bought on my own was the story of 0 and i was not older than 20 or so. i read it wide eyed - and as innocent as i was then - i thought i was a sick individual for reacting like i did to that book - and waaay to shy to ask any of my girlfriends. i have always been the odd one out - not visibly - but my thoughts and needs always seemed to be so different from my friends...took many years to find out i was submissive  - and not a nut..*L*..

i also write erotica - it gives me great pleasure to do it - and i am tickled pink when someone comments - and says it is good. On the other hand - English is not my native tongue - so grammar errors and spelling sadly occur..lol...have some old stories posted on Lit under this name..and have 5-6 more i am about to send in...to see if they get accepted..

i like reading books more than watching movies - mostly because the few SM - D/s movies i have seen...sucked....!

The single hottest BDSM book I've ever read is "Training to Pleasure" by Juliane (sp) Masters.  Whew!!

I've read most of the things everyone's mentioned, but I enjoy reading poolside, and I live in an apartmenet / townhouse type of place, and have a 17 year old daughter.  All of this to say, I have to sneak around like a crack whore hiding her stash with some of my books, for fear that the naked, chained woman on the front might draw some difficult questions.

I have found an interesting author recently - just studly men in cowboy hats on the cover - so pool and family safe - written by Diane Whiteside.  They are all entitled something along the lines of "The Southern Devil," "The River Devil," etc.  It's an unusal perspective - all kind of turn of the century with rugged men and damsels who enjoy being "ravished."

Like many I enjoyed reading the Gor books by John Norman and also found the works of Anne Rice to be compelling indeed.

One thing I was never able to find though was a blend of BDSM combined with a real OMG,horror story type endings. This search was inspired by a whole Summer of sitting through horror films of all types, with a rather fit and well built blonde lady, who just happened to have the rather pleasant tendency to get extremely turned-on when her adrenalin levels would rise from watching these horror movies. She of course inspired me to write this one for her......

A Flat Surprise By Fantazmaster Liz nervously picked up the phone, hoping this was the call she had been waiting for as she said hello, the deep resonant voice on the other end sent waves of pleasure and anticipation through her very soul as she heard her Master's voice intone"Hi there my pet,I just got off the plane and will heading your way after I claim my bag and pickup the rental car." Breathlessly she giggles in delight"Oh my god,I can't believe it, you are actually here!Somehow I was afraid this was all a dream and that I'd wake up and find that you weren't coming at all."Master replied"well I guess I will need to pinch you, that way we will both know its not a dream!" then he asked "Have you been good and not opened the box yet?" .Liz 's eye shot to the Fedex box that had arrived the day before ,his e-mail instructions to her was to not open the box until he instructed her to"Yes,I have been real good, now I picked it up and shook it a few times, but no I haven't opened it yet.Can I open it now? I am dying to see what's in it." Master replied"Ah anticipation! Isn't it soooo sweet. No don't open it just yet ,I am going to call you about 20 minutes before I get there.Lets see right when I get off Exit 81,your directions say it's about 20 minutes to your place from there ,so I'll call from there. Then open it and follow the instructions included. We are going to be undisturbed aren't we?"Liz sighed "Well,I have a call from work that will be coming in about the time you arrive or just afterwards and I'll have to take that and go over one or two things with the lady that's covering for me,but beyond that we should be undisturbed for a whole week." After the phone call, Liz looks over the box again and as she does she reflects back on the year and all the online adventures she has had with Master during that time and his innate ability to totally surprise her .The box is the latest in an unending series of surprises that had turned her into a real anticipation addict as he was always so creative with his ideas and scenes, despite the restrictions of an online relationship.A twinge of pleasure welled up as she recalled her last birthday and Master had contacted a local munch group and arranged a "Dial-A Spanking" for her, well and skillfully delivered, with a few of these members providing a singing accompaniment to the celebratory whacks. Finally the phone rings again and Master indicates he has just exited the Interstate and instructs her to open the box and then carefully read the printed instructions and follow them to the letter as he has very carefully planned this out for their first in person meeting. Liz eagerly opens the box and as she unpacks it her heart races She unpacks the black leather blindfold, the adjustable and locking wrist and ankle cuffs, each with a metal loop securely bradded to the outside and the four odd looking C-Clamp like devices .She then unfolds the printed instructions and gasps at the drawing at the top of the page of totally naked female spread eagled and face down on a bed with the same type cuffs holding her firmly in place. His instructions tell her to first go unlock the front door, then strip totally naked. Then secure each of the special C-Clamps to each post of the bed, these he writes are designed with a spring like mechanism that will grab each metal loop on each wrist and ankle strap once inserted and secure the metal loop in place. Once the C-clamps are in place, secure and lock the cuffs around each ankle and wrist cuffs and then with the blindfold get on the bed and secure each ankle. Put the blindfold on and secure it firmly in place. He indicates it may take a bit of navigating but you should be able to get each wrist secured to each side despite the blindfold being in place. Liz heads to the front door and unlocks it, then as she is carrying the box with all its contents to the bedroom ,she grabs the cordless phone, hoping Master will hold it to her ear should the call come in while she is so well secured and praying she doesn't have to take notes of any type. She easily fits and tightens the special C-clamps to each bedpost and then with a feeling of real eroticism strips down and then snugly dons and locks each cuff around her ankles and wrists. Placing the cordless phone on the bedside table, she then gets on the bed with blindfold in hand and with some maneuvering hears a loud, solid click as each metal loop on each ankle cuff is secured. Liz then puts on the blindfold and tightens it in place, leaving her in total darkness so thick is the heavy leather of this blindfold. Then she begins with her left wrist and soon hears the solid click as the loop is secured, a few moments later the right side is also secured. In total darkness Liz thoughts begin to race as she thinks of all the things Master has planned for her and has talked about for the past month. She becomes wet with anticipation as she thinks of all the fantasies he wants to act out and the promise of an orgasm denial session ,that in Master's words, could go on for several days and ultimately would be so intense that she'd be agreeing to do things she would never even consider beforehand. Her reverie is broken by the creak of the front door opening And her pulse pounds as she hears heavy footsteps slowly make their way to the bedroom. Then the footsteps stop beside the bed and Liz hears his breathing as he moves closer. Strong hands then begin to fondle and rub her all over and then she feels him shift to the foot of the bed and she tenses knowing he will take her anally. She gasps with a shriek and her first thought is "My God,he is huge!" as he forces his way inwards. Just then the phone rings and she says" Sorry Master, that's the office can you hold the phone to my ear. I will hurry I promise." She then feels the phone by her ear and he clicks the answer button for her, but remains well inside her without thrusting. Liz answers "Hello" and then she hears "Liz, it's Master glad you can still answer the phone ,I had a flat tire and it'll be another hour before I get there" Liz screams "But Master!WHO? OMG!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.................

I like a lot of the authors that others have mentioned on this thread. Anne Rice, Pauline Reage, John Norman, Laura Antoniou... I wouldn't take any of their books as a reliable guide to BDSM in the real world, but that isn't really the point. They all provide magnificently erotic flights of fantasy that are also well-written (although Norman in particular can get a bit clunky at times) and sometimes even thought provoking. The Marquis de Sade can be thought provoking too, although for me at least there's something in his style that leaches the eroticism out of the things he describes.

I've always found, however, that scenes of torture, captivity and domination in mainstream novels are often hotter than BDSM fiction per se. I'm not quite sure why this is, and in fact it's probably a combination of things: standards of writing are higher in the mainstream, the characters are more likely to be multidimensional and therefore believable, and the action often takes place in a context that gives it more significance than two people being attracted to each other and hooking up. Fantasy novels are often particularly good for this sort of thing. "The Knight and Knave of Swords", by Fritz Leiber, has some especially kinky moments, and Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" books are full of female/female spanking that sometimes comes across as fairly erotic. A particular favourite of mine is a book called "Maia", by Richard Adams (who also wrote Watership Down!). Maia is a slave girl who ends up having... some memorable adventures.

I completely forgot about this book!  Not a bad read at all.

The first book I found that I understood clearly as "not your normal romance"  was "The Virgin and the Gipsy" by D.H. Lawrence.  I found an old paperback copy in a box of used books at a flea market. Something about the artwork on the cover, a young beautiful girl kneeling in front of a rather exotic and sexy saytr, to be exciting.
Set in a small village in the English countryside, it tells the story of a young rector's daughter who yearns for more.
She meets a young gipsy whose life is completely different than her's and is smitten, yet is held back by her own fear and social conventions. After a natural catastrophe sweeps away all she knows, she becomes open to this new way of life and new passion.
What this idea did to my young impressionable mind (did I mention I was about 15 yrs. old) was to start me down my own path of discovery. I read every D.H. Lawrence book they had at the library and discovered a whole new world of classics.
At length his voice said, without breaking the spell:
"You want to go in my caravan, now, and wash your hands?"  The child-like, sleep-waking eyes of her moment of perfect virginity looked into his, unseeing. She was only aware of the dark, strange, effluence of him bathing hr limbs, washing her at last purely will-less. She was aware of him, as a dark, complete power. "I think I might," she said.  He rose silently, then turned to speak, in a low command, to the old woman.  And then again he looked at Yvette, and putting his power over her, so that she had no burden of herself, or of action.  "Come!" he said.
She followed simply, followed the silent, secret, overpowering motion of his body in front of her. It cost her nothing.  She was in his will.

I, then, found such authors as Colette and Anais Nin among others. I still always come back to this story of the young woman and her first experience of eroticism and mental control/powerplay as a wonderful example of hiding bdsm openly in literature.

I still have my original copy of Maia tucked away in one of my boxes.

When I was about 12 I found a paperback book called 'The Flame and The Flower' that had some seriously steamy take down sex in it and boom, I was hooked. For the most part I detest the entire 'romance genre' but there are some gems in it.

Then I came across 'The Birch In The Boudoir' and from then on I craved a combination of sex and physical discipline, it wasn't very easy to find those books (it was around 1979) but airport bookstores always seemed to have a good supply. Looking back I'm amazed I had the courage to buy those at that age, I still struggle buying tampons n such if the clerk is a young male.

For years any book with the author 'anonymous' was just about an automatic buy for me, nearly all of those were the sort of erotica many would call Victorian. It did impact my fantasy life and it also shaped the way I react to certain stimuli.

Okies I didn't read any of this thread. I saw 'Maia' scroll by and it made me think of my early forays into the world of written erotica, so my apologies if my post has nothing to do with the OP!

camille65....

Ohhh.....I loved those "anonymous" books!  Nothing like a good bit of 'Victorian' erotica to get the blood pumping.

What is it about reading certain actions and situations that does it for people?  Just curious...I know my reasons and would love to hear others.

For great, hot short stories, nothing compares to Master/slave, a collection edited by N. T. Morley.

My introduction to the idea of bdsm came from reading one of the "Beauty" books I found at the home of people I babysat for.  Wow!  My eyes almost fell out of my head.

I've always prefered written erotic stories to pictures or videos.  My most recent favorite is "He's On Top," an anthology edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel.  I love the first story, which I think is called "All Night Long."

I'd be interested in a collection of short stories with a Daddy/little girl focus (natch).  Any suggestions?

Daddysweetpea, I lost all my bookmarks when I upgraded, but if you google "spanking stories" you'll find some great websites that also have Daddy/Little girl stories.   I know you'd enjoy "Daddys Girl" by Darla Phelps at ABCD Webmasters.

I also enjoy reading BDSM stories, and have read quite a few that everyone has mentioned, but lately I'm reading more from epublishers like ellora's cave and liquidsilverbooks, to name a couple.  They have some D/s stories that are just as hot, but are a lot better written--and edited.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Claire Thompson.  Her bondage books are wonderful.  She writes in two distinct styles, pure capture/bondage and BDSM/love stories.

The best BDSM erotica I have ever read.....and I've read almost anything I can find. Very long and the writer is still adding chapters to book 2. It's BDSM with a plot, which you almost never find.

How come no one mentioned Jeanne de Berg?  I thought she was one of the "classic" bdsm theme authors.  My sub sent me "Women's Rites; Scenes from the Erotic Imagination" to commemorate anniversary of collaring.  Since I don't particularly like erotica, I had no idea if I'd like it.  Even now that I have finished, I can't say yes or no to that question.
This is an old book, my sub read her new one during vacation... it hasn't been translated into English yet. The action may be consensual but it's not safe.  Le Figaro called Rites "terrfying and radiant, full of enchanting secrets, fragile beauty and its ability to make us feel."
It's fiction, but the author and her famous author husband Alain Robbe-Grillet (who passed away earlier this year at 95) were involved in bdsm for many years.  Unresolved: how much true, how much imagination?
If anyone else has read de Berg, what did you think?

I read BDSM stories.  The stories i would love to read are few and far between.  But, i enjoy reading them, and love getting all excited from what i am reading.  Bad thing is...i get jealous because i wished it was me in the story...lol.
