Dark Angel, Even if I disagreed with all you posted, I respect your opinion and your right to have them. The one point, and the only point was to address the issue that the elections and their results were independent of US "best interest". Conceding that, the previous point that the leaders of the autonomous sovereignty of Iraq have the authority of ordering the US out of Iraq today.
I prefere to focus on the facts as I see them. Bush Lied. America is not as efficiant as its government would like the world to believe. Not all muslims follow Bin Laden. The majority of Islamic people are peace loving. Blair lied Bush does not have His troops best interests foremost in His thoughts. Bush has and also wanted to attack non millitary instilations. The council now holding control in Iraq has Iran input. Bin Laden is still free. Saddam was a scapegoat. Mugabe is still allowed to commit atrocities. The whole Israel/Palestine mess is not helped by US interference and support of the Israelies and pretty much blocked any UN resolution(and no matter what people think about the UN, blocking such is still not good) against them.(Selfish interests) American governments ignorance concerning Global warming is intolerable. Americas human rights atrocities are not to be ignored.
Do not get me wrong. I love america. I just do not love the lies that are perpetuated in the name of so called 'democracy'... in the name of 'freedom'. Lets just be honest here - freedom for whom?
I didn't read this whole thread and I appologize, I just didn't want to get too pissed off.
I agree with what someone said; We did not go in Honorably and so we can never leave Honerably.
I think the current Administration should be investigated for their knowledge before hand and all their reasoning for going to war.
Own it if they were wrong, OWN it to the world!
Then do what they can to remedy and repair relationships as a result of their wrongs from a distance, No More innocent people should be dying period.....TOOOOOO many already....Toooo many from the beginning.
President Bush's Thanksgiving Turkey came from Henning, Minnesota....right up in my neck of the woods. He pardoned it. It was then flown to a zoo in California to live out its days in its pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.
I wish that Bush would have done the same for those in the middle east, for the men and women that were and are and will be in Iraq, and for the kinksters here and everywhere.
