RedMagic1 -> Orgasms vs. flying (8/20/2008 7:26:25 PM)

I was in a situation recently with a female sub where she was very close to orgasm and I wanted to send her over the edge.  So I slapped her face -- something I know she likes.  But instead of making her come, it sent her flying.  She did a transformation that looked a lot like O-face, but there were no uterine contractions, and then flew for several minutes.

Afterward, she mentioned to me that she had heard that you can either orgasm or fly, but not both.  But also, she had had an experience one time where she came and then flew soon after.  I had stopped pelvic stimulation of her because I initially thought she had come, so I don't know if I could have gotten her to orgasm also -- after starting to fly -- by continuing what I was doing.

What is the relation betwen orgasming and flying, in your experience?  And in particular, if the sub is already flying, is it possible to induce orgasm -- and, if so, what is the sensation like when that happens?

By fly do you mean enter sub space?  Or are you using it as slang for something else?

RedMagic1 -> RE: Orgasms vs. flying (8/20/2008 7:38:23 PM)

Not sub space.  Aphasic, mildly catatonic euphoria brought about by endorphin rush.  Often induced by the body's response to pain, but in this case brought about mostly by hypnotic speech.  Her eyes were open but she was dissociated.

It's a myth that no one can experience both- I do.

Whether SHE can experience both I have no idea.

For me subspace is a deeply calming altered state of consciousness, very akin to pre-sleep.  Orgasm is a physical reaction to stimulus and sense of security resulting in involuntary yummy sexual spasming.

mistoferin -> RE: Orgasms vs. flying (8/20/2008 8:31:39 PM)

I do both at the same time on a very regular basis.

Ditto that.

I've heard people describe sub space as hypnotic, euphoric and an endorphin rush.  I think I would also describe it as mildly catatonic and aphasic as well.  People certainly quiet down.

I see two possibilities.  One, you are describing sub space.  Two, you are describing a very similar experience that most people do not distinguish from sub space because they lack the appropriate training to distinguish them.

In your experience what is the difference between 'flying' and sub space?   Have you ever seen a dominant 'fly' during a scene?

----------------------

Also, back to the topic:  Often bdsm activities, particularly involving pain do not induce orgasm, but they still are enjoyable.   Similarly you can eat ice cream while having sex (OK, it can get messy.)  There is nothing to prevent combining two different experiences.  I see no problem with flying and orgasm.

sometimes flying first class is better than  the mile high club in the bathroom .

Ah- *jealous*

I can't orgasm very easily at all, and I have to concentrate on it- so sadly its usually either one or the other for me. The only time both have ever happened at once took me completely by surprise.

At first I had no idea what you were talking about. but now I think I have experienced it when I was doing somethign to my sub that gave me no sexual stimulation at all. It really is a rush of endorphins. But I can't really say why it happened.
But I had to pull the car over...

RedMagic1 -> RE: Orgasms vs. flying (8/21/2008 3:40:33 AM)

Thanks everyone who has responded so far.  I guess I stepped into a wordmess, because I googled "flying" and some people do use it as a synonym for subspace.  So, for purposes of this thread, I'm differentiating the two.  Subspace for me is a state where the sub is entranced or "altered" but still responsive, while flying essentially stops the scene because the sub is nonresponsive.

I have never flown, myself.

Has anyone flown first, and entered orgasm while flying?  Or do you need to orgasm first, and while orgasming start flying?  Put another way, what if I get her flying, and then stimulate her clit while she's in that state?  Would it be annoying, useless, dangerous -- or potentially orgasmic?

A scene doesn't have to end because the sub is flying....and actually you can prolong that for as long as you like. It's a pretty damn great place to be. Yes, you can orgasm in the state you describe as flying. You can do it if you orgasm first, you can do it if you don't orgasm first....you can do it before, during, after and the whole time you're there.

RedMagic1 -> RE: Orgasms vs. flying (8/21/2008 4:54:50 AM)

Thank you very much, Erin.  This sounds... exciting!

Aileen1968 -> RE: Orgasms vs. flying (8/21/2008 5:03:22 AM)

Woah...I thought I had to make a choice between having an orgasm or getting on a plane.  That would have been tough to choose.  [:)]

Dnomyar -> RE: Orgasms vs. flying (8/21/2008 5:08:01 AM)

Aileen I will take you to the airport afterwards.

  Mental orgazms cum from a different place than clitoral/physically stimulated o's..  ( mental o's >stimuation of the mind/imagination/senses)
at least thats what I have experienced...
and so

maybe w/a mental o  its possible to fly too.
but if the o is happening from physical/clitoral stimulation  the mental flying is too distracting????and so only 1 can happen at a time??

just a thought..

Kudos  erin !
I always was curious why so many ended the exchanges after an Orgasm like  an end of a story  , you can keep going to a new book ..Unresponsive may require  redirection or attention or stoppage .I know if i am really enjoying a ride  do not shake me  out of it.

DesFIP -> RE: Orgasms vs. flying (8/21/2008 9:49:40 AM)

When I go nonresponsive, nonverbal, answering questions several minutes later without realizing the time lag, I consider that a very deep level of subspace. It isn't, imo, all one level. Like hypnosis, you can be aware of what they are saying, what you are doing or you can be in a deeper level with no awareness of what is happening.

The flying, the deeper level of subspace is the better for me. And yes, I do orgasm while there.

As far as whether it would be annoying, useless, dangerous or orgasmic...id have to say everyone is different and youll just have to explore that with this sub.

As far as the rest goes, if you offer a frequent flyer plan i would really love to sign up.
