Marlin: How do you know if they're ready?
Crush: Well, you never really know, but when they know, you know, y'know?

Crush: Cuz we were like, "woaaaah.", and I was like, "woaaaah." and you were like, "woaaahh..."
Marlin: What are you talking about?
Crush: You, Mini-Man, takin' on the jellies. You've got serious thrill issues, dude. Awesome.

Reservoir Dogs

Mr. Brown - "Dick, dick, dick, dick, dick, dick, dick.!"
Mr. Blue - "How many dicks is that?"
Mr. White - "A lot."

Donnie Darko

Donnie: "Why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit?"
Frank: "Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"

The Labyrinth

This is just about my favorite movie of all time. You all know my Bowie obsession.

Jareth: "You remind me of the babe."
Goblin: "What babe?"
Jareth: "The babe with the power."
Goblin: "What power?"
Jareth: "The power of voodoo."
Goblin: "Who do?"
Jareth: "You do."
Goblin: "Do what?"
Jareth: "Remind me of the babe."

Hoggle: "You have to understand my position. I'm a coward and Jareth scares me."

Worm: " 'Ello."
Sarah: "Did you say hello?"
Worm: "No, I said 'ello, but that's close enough."

Jareth: "Everything I've done, I've done for you. I move the stars for no one."

This one is my all time favorite quote. In fact, I love it so much, that's going to be my new signature.
Jareth: "I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave."

sanita -> RE: What's your favorite movie quote? (11/26/2005 2:11:40 PM)

*melty-melty-purr* god, i love Labyrinth.

and what about:

"Sarah. Don't defy me!" -Jareth

and i have a thing for David Bowie, too. *l* i get all happy and bouncy when i see that new satellite radio commercial with him DJing.

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: What's your favorite movie quote? (11/26/2005 8:25:20 PM)

Yay! Another Bowie freak! We tend to migrate in herds. I've seen him in concert twice now, and he rocked my world. I knew I'd have to marry my husband when he got me a signed copy of "Let's Dance" on vinyl last Christmas. WOOT! BOWIE! [:D]

From High Fidelity Rob: "If you really wanted to mess me up, you should have gotten to me earlier"

That's the quote I've been waiting for. I've actually been looking forward to seeing a switch use it as a Quote Message Signature or something in there profile. I'm not that much of a Bowie Fan but I do like the Labyrinth. Was that a Jock Strap he was wearing in the movie? That takes a new meaning to the movies quote "Going Down"

I also like the quote "If you want peace, prepare for war" The Punisher.

"Wait till they get a load out of me" Jack Nicholson as The Joker from Batman

"Do you posess the constitution to go as far as needed?" Boon Doc Saints

"There is no try" Master Yoda

NakedOnMyChain -> RE: What's your favorite movie quote? (11/26/2005 10:45:23 PM)

Ooohhh, Boondock Saints. It's such an awesome movie. The sequel has been due out forever, and still no sign. My favorite quote from that movie is "Why don't you make like a tree and get the fuck out?!"

"2000 years after nailing some guy to a tree for saying, " Hey, wouldn't it be great if we were all nice to each other for a change?", we still can't get it right."
-Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (original)

The history of every major galactic civilization passes through 3 distinct and recognizable phases.
Survival
Inquiry
Sophistication
For instance, the first phase is characterized by the question "How can we eat?"
The second, by the question "Why do we eat?"
The third by the question "Where shall we have lunch?"
-Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (original)

"A womans heart is the hardest stone the Almighty ever created, and I can find no sign on it."
-Jeremiah Johnson

Listen! Do you smell that?
-Ghostbusters

"A jester unemployed; is nobody's fool.
-The Court Jester

The one where he has Snoop's necklace? It's cool.
I've been on a Let's Dance kick of late.

pawschan -> RE: What's your favorite movie quote? (11/27/2005 10:00:31 AM)

^^ Hehe, so many quotes. One of my favorites, though i never saw the movie was... "Why do we need hamburger helper? Hamburger is doing just fine on it's own..."

Though, even though it's not from a movie, a quote that I love and use all the time online is "Angels come down from the heavens, bearing a holy sign that reads... 'Hell no!'"

windchymes -> RE: What's your favorite movie quote? (11/27/2005 11:56:25 AM)

My all-time favorite is from "Parenthood", where Steve Martin's 90+ yr old grandmother, who, after spending the movie in happy oblivion tells the story:

"When your grandfather and I were dating, he took me to the amusement park and we rode the roller coaster...up, down, up, down....terrifying! Most rode the merry-go-round, around and around....safe, but going nowhere. I preferred the roller coaster!"

(This isn't verbatim, just the gist, I couldn't find the exact quote, you get the idea)
