       I've only read the first page so far, but I'm getting a real kick out of this thread. Every attack on Palin's lack of experience fires right back in Obama's face, with the added punch that he is the top of the ticket. And every attack on her gender (is she pretty? WTF? and O59, how much did Hillary's ass play into your support for her, before you switched to backing Barry?) shows that the Dems are still putting hatred of Repubs above every other value they trumpet.

      I think Palin is an excellent choice for this campaign. She's too far to the Fundy right for my personal taste, but such decisions need to be governed by the head, rather than the heart.

      As for her ability to assume the helm, her OJT starts in January.

       Job well done, Senator McCain.

Since you want to cross post this... read that article again... Especially the question and answer. SHE WAS OKAY WITH STATE FUNDING OF THE BRIDGE, or what ever was most fiscally feasible with state funding. That sounds like if we want a bridge our state can build it. Where is the lie again?

All I know is that I watched five women sigh a sigh of relief when McCain picked Palin. They made up their mind right then and there to vote for him. They can identify with her far more the they could Hillary. Say what you will but it will influence many. http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m8.gif

I think it's problematic that McCain apparently didn't know her well.
I think it's problematic that she seems to have lied about the investigation currently ongoing into her conduct. I think it's problematic that she is currently being investigated and is still touted as the best choice for VP.
I think it's problematic that she apparently has also lied about the so-called "bridge to nowhere":The McCain campaign has been flagging this pretty aggressively this afternoon. It's a shame, then, that Palin wasn't exactly telling the truth. As TNR's Brad Plumer explained, Palin actually supported the funding for the much-derided bridge project.

I think it is asking other people to swallow unquestioningly things like the 'investigation', because at this point we don't know a single bit of dirt from that investigation that didnt come from some partisan attack piece... just like the partisan attack pieces on Obama... and how many of them turned out to be fabricated, inflated or outright spun?

This is a campaign of epic mudslinging and lies, and I'm treating them all from both sides with extreme skepticsm...

Yes. I would like to see Alaska's infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now--while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist.

Why would she need congressional assistance for state funding? She wanted both... at that time.

I am sure you are not because I have a vital interest in the area.

I think that as hillary did, he thought it was a walk thru, and based on recent evidence, he did not have her in mind first off. So, the backroom is a little short on the vetting process... cause he dont have to fuck with hillary.

Oh, oh...these chicago Gs and Thugs may have some political savvy, and they snatched his ass off the face of the earth (which is the most likely) because the 'know nothing party' is not in a position to question the right of the elephant to govern........shits going pretty good as I am told, I am sure it is a surprise to them that this backlash is pervasive.

But, his little push to make a 'we are the change' has actually changed the face of the body politic forever. The adversaries on both sides must now agree that women have ideas that may transcend cunt and babies and trivial matters now and the discussion is brought to the future of us, for all time. I view it as valourous, and that is why.

She still wanted the bridge and she still wanted federal help. You read it, yes?
