Purrsefanie, your post is simply hilarious
In general, buying clothes is one of the most annoying things I can imagine. So I'm really grateful if someone takes this task for me and I can't remember a time I was disappointed with her choice.

I let my submissive know exactly what I want out the gate.  With that said,  I'm not in to micromanaging.  He knows what type of clothing I like to see him in and how I like his hair.  I do know of others that really get off on the whole picking clothes and making people change their hair.

I distinguish a bit between submissive and slave. If I own a slave then I have the right they ceded when they became my slave. And yes, that is the ability to require them to change anything about their appearance I wish, within reason and affordability.

Example......current girl had breast implants for previous relationship. I informed her that at some point when it is affordable they will be removed. She accepted that.

I will also determine how she dresses and wears her hair and makeup. Some of the looks I've seen her in are not in my taste. I don't like hooker shoes and goth makeup. She understands that also. I want easy accessability, her clothes will reflect that. I also do not want her bits hanging out to be ogled by anyone in the vacinity, also reflected in the type of clothing she will wear.

The key, I think, is to discuss these things early on.

A lot of men are pretty clueless when it comes to clothes, hair etc.. and welcome the input.

A lot of women are just as clueless.  *winks*

Wink all you want. You're still starting shit and I'll remember that.  *winks*

I am not into dressing my slave.  Technically, a slave wears no clothing and a sub wears what ever their Mistress/Master prefers.
I am not so sure about a sub being owned because they have the right to live their own life.  Anything is possible in this lifestyle.

If I owned someone, I would have the perogative to decide about their appearance, of course.

If they were submissive to me, but not considered my property, they could negotiate or refuse.

I have been given the authority, by submissives, before, to choose and decide certain aspects of their appearance.  I gave them a partial say in it, at the time.  For example, I allowed one to collect pictures of different hairstyles he'd be willing to wear, and which had certain features I like.  He could have any one of them I liked.  I will say, he started getting compliments on his hair, from other women.

Did you ever see the Hitchcock film, Vertigo?  I once had a submissive who, after we saw that movie, shyly let me know that it excited him greatly when one of the characters pressured another into dressing and styling hair to look like someone else, despite their discomfort.  The idea of being almost forcibly molded to another's desires.

Il Se Puet/It may be

It may be that a strange dream
Seized you tonight,
You thought you saw an angel
And it was your mirror

Abolutely have the right. My sub must trust me enough to know that I am not going to get him to wear something humiliating in his public life, in private however that is a totally different story! hehe

Do you ever make your submissives get their hair cut a certain way, styled a certain way?  Add or remove facial hair?  Wear certain clothing?  Do you feel that if they are your property, you should have the option of changing things like hairstyle or facial hair?

He shaves when I find his hair to be getting itchy. He cuts his hair when it is getting unruly, whether or not I order him to. I have bought him certai clothes I want to see him in. If he wants to see me happy, he dresses as I please when I say I want to see it. It is simple.

if i am ever owned, i will do as she says.  it would be an honor to completely shave my body, partly shave, or let my hair grow long.  whatever pleases her.

Starting shit?  Have you ever been to Wal-Mart?  That place is a zoo of tasteless people, male and female.  I stand by my words.  *wink-wink-nudge-nudge-blows a kiss*

Mine had be make some changes, and I didn't mind at all.  I needed to get in shape for her, as she wanted a slim/slender look for me for when she was to show me off naked to others.  I also had to keep a nice tan and have my body completely shaved when others were going to see me naked.  I also had to remain completely naked at all times, even when others were over - provided those people were aware of the situation.  If not, then I would have to cover up with a pair of shorts, but not much else.  As she used me for public play, I also needed to keep my asshole flexible to be able to take her strap-on with ease.  She got pretty upset if I struggled to take it in front of others, as that was my role.  If I wasn't, it reflected bad on her, like she wasn't able to mold her sub to her liking.

I would not date or play with someone if I didn't like their style to begin with. I guess the only thing I would want my sub to wear is women's clothing, so yes, I guess to some extent I do change their appearance and expect that they comply with my wishes. ;)
