as a health care person who has had to deal with needles in home's were there were no sharp container, we recommend a launry bottle or downey bottle and with a PERMENT MARKER on the outside write MEDICAL WASTE and then when done duct tape the cap in place.

You can really get away with that over in the US? in the UK that would be a prosecutable offence.
Even our sharp bins have to be taken to a hospital to be disposed of.

Please please please dont mark the container "medical waste" and then set it loose on the world via your trashcan....
Contact your local needle exchange services...call your own personal MD's office and get friendly with a nurse there...ask at your local pharmacy about buying a sharps container and work out a fee for exchanging it when full.
While im on the subject, if you still get your sodas in those awful plastic ring/holder thingies...cut them before throwing them away so the birdies dont strangle.

I imagine a call to a local piercer would also yield some non-judgemental advice on what to do with used sharps. I think it's already been mentioned before but http://www.bmezine.com is a great resource especially the older articles and there are many first hand accounts of play piercing. I used unimax years ago to order jewelry and I've still got some of it in today, about 7 years later, and have had no problems I found the quality to be excellent and the service was great they even did COD. I think now though you have to be a business to order from them. Plus, whenever http://www.bmeshop.com comes back online they've always got piercing needles, reliable service, though the price isn't as cheap as some places.

I can recommend www.kinkymedical.net—I buy my J-lube through the site, and the proprietor attends some northwest events such as KinkFest and Paradise Unbound. From surfing the site, as well as observing his tables at such events, I know that he's got a broad selection of medical pervertibles, and a whole section on play piercing supplies.

Oh, and every time I order, the stuff ships within hours of payment.
