I think Palin proves that one can be Republican AND a Feminists and those that deny her feminists credentials do so out of political ideology and not feminist ideals. Really? How does she prove she's a feminist? By holding views that you should be against women having rights over their own bodies? You think THAT is feminisim? Sarah Palin: upholding American Women's right to be uneducated, barefoot, and in the kitchen, '08! As a male, and the father of a strong, independent daughter, I always thought the "core" of the feminist movement was to create a world where a woman could be, do, say, feel, want, achieve, create, build, destroy, win, lose, or anything men have taken for granted forever. I did not realize feminism was only a movement for woman who agreed with the liberal progressive philosophy of NOW. Shame...it could have been so much more. Feminism is not the "tent" for all woman, it's a "cubby" for leftist community activists.
