I saw a demonstration of the liquid latex on HBO's "Real Sex". It looked really cool, and I imagine you can have some fun with it. I'd like to get some in purple

Here's a coincidence.
Tonight on TV I saw a show where they painted a guy almost all over with liquid latex, to see if there would be any health consequences.

It was an episode of Mythbusters, a show that acts out Urban Myths to see if they are impossible, possible, or likely. Pretty fun show.

Tonight they tried to prove or disprove that scene in the old James Bond movie Goldfinger, where the bad guy killed a lady by painting 100% of her body, so she "died of skin asphyxiation". Instead of paint, they used liquid latex, with gold glitter of course.

They had a bunch of doctors and specialists and even the actress who years ago had been painted for the 007 movie, all saying that the skin does not breathe, covering the skin shouldn't cause any problems, and everybody expected this to be proved a big myth.

The interesting part is they covered this guy up, and the EMTs they had for safety measured him starting to have blood pressure swings. Serious enough to terminate the experiment.

The moral of the story? Put some on a big piece of body as a test beforehand (or before foot?). Some people can have some weird and unexpected reactions to the latex, or the solvents.

I am watching Mythbusters tonight and they redid the experiment with another test subject. They left small areas of skin showing. This time they retested the first subject and found his levels high without the paint. In the original test, they tested for body temperature using a probe in the ear, this time the used a rectal probe to get a more accurate reading. Blood pressure didn't change and the body temperature went down very slightly when painted.
What it proves is make sure your subject is in good health and do a small patch test at least 24 hours before doing the actual painting. You don't want a person suddenly discovering they have a latex allergy.

So - if liquid latex is your thing - paint on
