Let's talk about them.

Mine is the opening from an REM song, E-Bow the Letter. It's always been one of my favorite songs, mainly because of the lyrics, the imagery of the song (fields of poppies, tinfoil tiaras, will you show me something that nobody else has seen?, my crown of sadness and sorrow). Perhaps because I dream of being "taken over...there".

"Everyday that ends is one day closer to our beginning" is my mantra. And in 87 days I will get to change it to something like, "Finally the wait is over!"

I change mine every month or so. Usually it is just some quote I like for whatever reason, though after Hunter Thompson's suicide I used one of his as a tribute.

I'll take you there, there there baby, yeah.

It comes from a great catchy tune with origins from German Opera:

The shark has teeth like razors, everyone can see, Macheath has a knife but not in an obvious place.Macheath is a swashbuckler. He is a smooth romantic with qualities of both a gentleman and a highwayman. He is the love of whores. Macheath takes the hand in marriage of Lucy and Polly and in the end "four wives more" claim him. He says "I must have women" since "I love the sex". He speaks the King's English and dresses well, but prefers to live in the faith and company of cutthroats. He is polite to the people he mugs.

Its a swinging tune; by Darrin, Sinatra, Satchemo, or Ella, and I enjoy swing dancing, have for many years.

I enjoy opera and the Orgins are from “The Threepenny Opera” with all those great names; Macheath, Sookie Tawdry, Jenny Diver, Polly Peachum and Ol Lucy Brown. Et al.

I believe mine came from an old song my logic teacher felt compeled to play in class one day, but most of the places I've seen have it attributed to annoymous, which leads me to believe the song wasn't the original source.

Mine is from "The Neverending Story" It's one of the quotes that themes and sums up my life, and I adore it.

I am thinking about changing it, though, 's been that one for a long time.

Mine just tells you who and what I am (If you understand bears and their habbits and the bear's spiritual relationship with both the Celts and Native Americans, you have some idea of what I am about). Some read it and laugh, other just shake thair head. Those who think it's a joke never get close to me, those who understand it are some who I call friend. There is always one or two who mail me and ask>>>> My relpy is "I am the bear who does NOT live in a big blue house".

Mine is from Creed, "My Sacrafice" it always seemed that way with this one person, so it's something that's haunting at times

Hello my friend we meet again
It's been a while where should we begin ... feels like forever
Within my heart are memories of perfect love that you gave to me
OH, I remember

Chorus:
When you are with me
I'm free...I'm careless...I believe
Above all the others we'll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My Sacrifice

We've seen our share of up's and down's
Oh, how quickly life can turn around ... in an instant
It feels so good to reunite within yourself and within your mind
Let's find peace there

When you are with me
I'm free...I'm careless...I believe
Above all the others we'll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My Sacrifice

I just want to say hello again
I just want to say hello again

Chorus x2

My sacrifice

When you are with me
I'm free...I'm careless...I believe
Above all the others we'll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
When you are with me
I'm free...I'm careless...I believe
Above all the others we'll fly
This brings tears to my eyes
My sacrafice

I just want to say hello again x2

My sacrifice

Mine is versatile and ever-changing. It's usually from a song, though, or a particularly good book. In this case, it's a movie. For anyone that remember my little brown liberty angel avatar and the sigline "because sometimes the things you call freedom enslave you..." that was a direct copy of the sticker I have on my laptop.
