Just remember that if gators or crocs chase you, serpentine, don't run in a straight line! They can't turn easily, but they can outrun most humans NO problemo.

So maybe we should have a thread about what is good about Southern winters.

#1. The gators, although fast enough to catch you and big enough to eat you, well they can't turn so good.

Oh glad you got nuthin' because I was going to ask what good drinks you're having to make northern winters pleasant.

I hate the cold, and the snow, and consider leaving for warmer climates every winter, than the spring comes, and I can cope again.
Warms hugs everyone. M

Hummm... Winter?

I like the quiet of winter.
Winter somehow seems comforting,
Those evening where the temp hovers around 28 above, big
flakes are falling and coating the trees and everything else and as you walk down the street, the new fallen snow looks as though it is big pieces of glitter.

The enjoyment of people's imaginations with their decorations and lights(as long as they take them done after New years).

The beginning of Winter can seem like a magical wonderland(that usually ends like a horrible nightmare).

I love Winter cooking; big pots of soup, stews, roasts, yams, pies, cookies and all kinds of "comfort" foods.
Yes, the hot chocolate with toast to dunk in it, or maybe a hot tottie or hot buttered rum!

I like the fact that there are ways to warm yourself up(as opposed to summer where it comes mostly down to air conditioning) you can put more layers on, more blankets on, have a relaxing evening in front of the fireplace and of course wild sweaty sex.

I like the fact that in Winter, people are more apt to gather together in each other's homes
and spend more time visiting, not like Summer where everyone is out and about doing their own things.

Then comes the middle of January when I am ready to fight my way out of the prison of Winter. This is when I really would like to get out of my fear of flying and go visit my friend in Laguna Beach or other friends living in warm places.
When it becomes like a frozen grey tundra and I begin to crave the longer days and the buds of Spring!

on the bright side, a nice cold winter will kill the skeeters

And a good hard freeze takes out a lot of germs too!! Long cold winters? I love it, let it snow!!!!!!!! Cuddling in front of a fire place, hot cocoa (not the mix either!), big fluffy sweat shirts and sweaters, my warm fuzzy boots, snow ball fights, snow angels, sledding... not to mention how amazing everything looks covered with snow, how fresh and clean it all is (at least for a little while anyway). I moved back to Indiana from California specifically because I missed the snow and the cold winters! Hell, I've been known to turn on our window a/c unit when it hits 40 degrees outside, you can nearly see your breath in our bedroom... but it is awesome cuddling weather! And last, but not least.... these damn hot flashes come in real handy when it's 30 degrees!

Well, well, well, so ya all got what you wanted. Snow up the wazoo. And me, I've just decided to let my boss know I'm leaving for Florida a few weeks earlier. Hey, I have a good excuse, My best girls B-day is in Jan, so I get to be a snowbird and suprise my very best friend by showing up and taking her out, with other friens of ours, for her birthday.

I can't wait to fly this freezing coupe.

On another note. Oh its so beautiful outside, I just love those lovely snowflakes, I wish it would never end. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
