Kirata -> Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/10/2008 8:45:10 PM)

Barack Obama's New Party Membership

The mention of ACORN caught my eye, and the page includes links to additional information.

What's next is that this 'bloggers' evidence' is irrelevant, and that some very real things are happening... on the other side of the party divide. Are you trying to kill our joy or something [8D] ?

Acorn is not exactly law abiding in some of its voter registration drives. But this blog posting is....um yeah.

Oops, didn't mean to edit out the "What's next?" question on you deliberately.

Not trying to kill your joy. Heh.

Is this an SNL parody of a right-wing  "investigative" blog? Sure got me laughing.

slvemike4u -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/10/2008 9:29:52 PM)

Well it is obvious to any right thinking american the only way 'that one"wins the election is through chicanery and un-americaan activities.....LOL .Thank you kirata for an amusing thread....

corysub -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/10/2008 9:37:23 PM)

Been quite a few blogs on Obama and his past association with the socialist New Party from both left and right blogs.

The question really is not that Obama seems to have an affinity for ultra leftist groups, but why people from
the far left seem to find HIM!...he must have something they like about the man.

Acorn is a very real organization.   Believe it or not, I am studying about Barack's involvement with it.
Even it is true, I don't see how McCain can make a difference.
If only Barack had picked Hillary.  I would have had something to look forward to in the next four years.
No, he picked Joe Biden.

If only the democrat party had picked Hillary for the top of the ticket...that we would have a choice between
the better person in November, instead of the lesser of two evils.
The major difference between McCain and Obama is that one is a capitalist and the other a socialist.  Depends on where you want to see the country heading in the next four years.

And yes ACORN is very real...and very active in registering anyone that can get to a polling booth and register, and register, and register one more time!

Owner59 -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/11/2008 4:26:01 AM)

"If only"is going to be an often repeated phrase by a lotta` cons.

What some of the suppa-cons imagine, has nothing to do with the reality with ACORN.

There`s a huge desire to blame groups like ACORN for their troubles.

Believe me,if McCain loses,it won`t be because he`a a loser and was beat fair and square.

The con`s narrative will be blame anyone/anything, but themselves.

This is just part of it.

I am not a conservative, but Acorn is not known for its honesty. Left wing groups conveniently leave these facts out, even though they have been investigated by Congress and several states. Just saying.

Irishknight -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/11/2008 6:58:02 AM)

First off, when was the last time either side admitted to losing.  There are still people wearing out the same old bullshit about the Bush victories.  The first one was exactly the reason that the electoral college needs to be reformed at the very least.  My 6th grade social studies teacher pointed out to us how a close election could end up in popular vote not equaling electoral votes.
The second victory was because he got more votes than the other guy.  But that was stealing, too.  As Owner has said, its all just a part of it.  No one ever just loses anymore.  They were automatically robbed.  That shows the extreme lack of character in those we run for office ... and often in those that support them.

rexrgisformidoni -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/11/2008 7:03:02 AM)

never said anything about robbery. I was commenting about acorns dishonesty and blatant voter fraud.

NumberSix -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/11/2008 7:06:29 AM)

So, shall we say that if you are a republican and want to steal a state, see that your brother is governor?
And if you want to steal the united states, be a democrat?

See, a democrat can take a good idea and run with it. Republicans can never think big enough.

rexrgisformidoni -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/11/2008 7:12:31 AM)

Are you implying something? I think politics is a filthy game, and any "theft" is horrid. Obama will probably win if the polls are a good indicator, and voter fraud will have had negligible impact. And in the end, I won't care, because politicicians  are all the same, just a different brand. Republicrats. No difference. Again, think what you like, but this is my opinion. You hold yours, and I hold mine.

bipolarber -> RE: Obama, ACORN, and more.... (10/11/2008 7:28:54 AM)

Mmmm, yes... voter fraud. Republicans have gotten really good at that game. I've already noticed that they are making whisper campaigns,  saying how if you have warrants for your arrest, you'll be picked up if you try to go in and vote... or that you have to have valid photo ID in order to vote... or if your name SOUNDS similar to that of a convicted felon, you will be denied your rights.

Pick up the book, "How to Steal an Election" (the author's name escapes me at the moment, but he was an operative for the GOP in the last two cycles.)

Yup. There are those who would subvert the democratic process of the United States... they're called Republicans. (feel free to spit, every time they are mentioned.)

Didn't the Republican party use them also?
