My profile isn't strict enough for certain men. I've been accused of being a soft Domme to a lot of them. I always considered my approach to be an iron fist in a velvet glove. I just don't come across as a bitch. Some guys love the bitch. Some guys prefer my approach.

what a great thread. my take on "submission being a gift" is this. for me the Dominance is the gift. as a slave wired individual, i need to serve, obey, and be owned. without it, there is a hole in my heart and soul. the gift would be for me to find someone who inspires me to my fullest submissive nature. one who provides me with the opportunities for service an obedience. there is the true gift, and in return i will serve faithfully, loyally, eagerly and to the best of my abilities for as long as she deems me worthy of her gift.

I am new to all of this and therefore may not be considered qualified... I agree with you 100% that other areas need to be considered (assess chemistry and potential for a connection on different levels) before BDSM... I don't need to repeat your words, but you make sense and from my readings on the matter (BDSM Lifestyle/relationships) so do the authors (mind before sex organs/toys definitely).
