I think many people are now leery about all casual sexual contact due to the emergence of new stds and what risks to health or ferility they present.
 
The world is much different now than it once was, and not always in a good way.
 
I was lucky enough to have lived through a time after the risks of getting pregnant were easily eliminated *and* before sexual contact carried any special risk that could not be cured with an antibiotic or a pesticide.

Status: offline 		Um, your post and your replies are confusing to me on a BDSM website.  Some people are looking for ownership and some are just looking for fun.  Some are dominant and others are submissive or switches.  There are females of all varieties.  The patriarchal system existed as a societal norm for centuries and the only thing "wrong" about it was that theoretically EVERYONE had to do it.  Now if you want to configure your relationship with a male being dominant that is fine, but it isn't assumed.  If you want to configure your relationship as equals who have kinky sex and role play in the bedroom, that's fine too.  If you want to configure your relationship so that the female is dominant, that is also fine.  Perhaps your relationship could have a more fluid dynamic where people shift and switch taking on a more dominant or more submissive role at different times. All these things are fine as are whatever other permutations people come up with for consenting adults.  What is exciting about living now is not just that women have more rights, but also that society in general has more options. 

As for sadism, there are dominants who are sadistic and others who are not.  If someone does not match your criteria, don't message them.  It doesn't matter how many there are who aren't your cup of tea.  Keep looking until you find someone who is.  However, if you are not looking for D/s, bondage or S/m, you are looking in the wrong place and would do better elsewhere.

What "NEW" stds are you talking about?  Or do you just mean stds that you were unaware of?

Perhaps you were just naive.  Herpes has been around for hundreds and hundreds of years.  AIDS, while becoming a household name in the late 70's and early 80's, was around before that. 

So you haven't had sex in 30 years?

And many Dommes do not want slaves.

I have dominant personality. I always have. I incorporated that dominant personality into who I am today. I found submissive personalities to compliment my dominant one. Kevin, this isn't new. This did not come out in the 90's and 2000's..The act of submission and the act of dominance has been around for hundreds of years. The last time I followed "a guys orders" was from my father when I was a child. I hope this answers your question.

Why do you ask the same questions in almost every thread you start? It is the same questions, asked in a different form. I am coming in late on this thread, and hope that I am not repeating something someone has already said. I just look at it this way, I am going to find the same answers here, that I have found on all of your other posts. The questions don't change and neither do the answers. Why is it so hard for you to accept what we are telling you?
 
To answer your question. Yes some of us do it for fun. I am not a sadistic domina..I lean more towards a sensual one. However, it doesnt mean that I can't be pretty sadistic when I want to be. It's all good.

It all started thousands of years of ago, and from my own research have traced it as far back "officially" as the Egyption civilisations. Although I suspect with the evolution of homosapians from apes, would literally span millions of years. essentially you and every other human inhabitant on the globe are mammals. Taking that into account then one would assume naturally that the animal mentality exists in each and every one of us. Owner, property whichever we identify with has been inherent within us since the dawn of time.

You only have to look at these forums, to witness the animal "pack" mentality. It seems this lifestyle is way beyond your comprehension, and way beyond the D&S community. I find it quite amusing at times to watch people pretend to be such a moral human, when essentially the only roles we all have is to breed like animals, kept as property by a global economy. 

Oh, and by the way, I don't recall anywhere that says I can't have fun....So I do. Life is too short.

Status: offline 		I do this for fun and yes I am very scared of STDs. I still think people are still ignorant to the fact of sexual diseases. I think a lot of people have sexual urges and then act upon them without considering future consequences. It is just scary out there.

Status: offline 		To me it just sounds like stereotyping. Guys are sadists and girls should be all cute and cuddly. I'm personally a cute and cuddly guy, and I know some girls that are pretty evil. The problem is, society has come up with a "norm" for behaviors based on gender, and you pretty much did the same thing to us here. Also, there tends to be more male dominants then female. As to all female dominants being sadists....hardly. I knew one that liked to be a kitty. While its true, some female dominants are sadists, some just really want someone to take care of. The fact is, every single one of us is different, and to lump people together is just silly. We each have our own wants and desires, and the best we can do is to be true to them and admit them. If someone likes pain, they like pain. You cannot fault them for that, or assume everyone will like it. My thinking has been this, you need to discover yourself before you can find someone else. Perhaps you need to sit down and decide what it is you really want and come to terms with it, then seek that person out. Things may not be the way you think they should be, but that doesn't mean they are wrong.

Status: offline 		 Don't confuse "real women" with the roughly 50% of "Dommes" here, or on any other site that are only after a guys cash, cars and credit cards. The ratio you mentioned is probably true, but it does not represent those in real life that are into some form of kink. I mean most cities (of a decent size) have groups, munches, play parties with a high ratio of women, domme, sub, switch, straight and dykes.

Status: offline 		I can only speak for myself, but I'm sure I'm far from being lone on this site.  It is still all about boy meets a Girl, but he needs to offer himself, be prepared to submit, not worrying about if he might humiliate himself in others eyes and be willing to do what is expected of him.  I would never dream of taking a single penny from any guy.  Sure he may want to buy me dinner or buy me something special and so long as it's done in a way that respects his new position as a sub, then I guess that will happen, but that's not too different from those old days that you speak of, except for the the fact that he isn't the one driving the bus.

I do this only for the fun and pleasure of doing it, I don't want or need anyones money, nor do I want take the pleasure of this play away from a submissive who kneels before me.  This has to be a two way street to work long term, sure there has to be a D/s type protocal most of the time, but not at the expense of common sense and respect.  I would never ask a guy to do something that would effect him adversely, but he doesn't have to know that.
