My appologies to the MODs but i cannot find a room to put this under.

I am a rope bondage artist and i would like to share my work and my craft in this thread but i can't seem to find a link to be able to add photos to the posts.[:)]

Can you help me?

Girl would love to learn Shibari. If for no other reason than to instruct next mistress on how because girl has only been suspended once using rope and the various knots. It was so comfortable girl actually fell asleep.

Girl was at what could possibly only have been an open-house. There was a girl there that was suspended and girl asked to be also. The master of the girl suspended obliged, was amazed at how quick he was. Next thing girl was told was to relax as the ropes were pulled and knots tightened.
What girl remembers is the way my weight was equalized throughout, pressure of the rope was even upon my skin. It was just so comfortable. No cameras were allowed. Sorry 'RainydayNE', but who knows maybe the master that obliged me the first time will be at the next dungeon event.
Girl does get much opportunity to satisfy my curiosity, but that is changing.
Would not mind hooking up with someone for some dungeon play privately and actually have some pics of my self to send to dommes interested in me.

I am a name called Masao with a Japanese.
"SHIBARI" is Japanese Culture .

But I do not know things called "SHIBARI" well.
Because the reason is because
the things that all of you think that
Japanese I think are different.

What kind of deadline do the all of you like?
In addition, would you teach how you think?

Actually, since it seems like more work than it needs to be (to simply bind a lovely lass), it's not interesting to me.
Of course, I'm not saying it's not interesting ... just not interesting to me (bearing in mind I'm the only acknowledged ESTP on these message boards)

It's very mild. I mean, often the Japanese women I see in Shibari are almost fully clothed. Yuk.

Nope. It's actually boring to me. Again, this is not saying it's boring; just boring to me.

Or is it other anything?
Not much, sorry to say. Seems like too much rope for too little purpose with too much clothing and taking too much time for the likes of me.

Sorry. That's why I never understood it. I can't see the eroticism in all that fancy schmancy rope work. Just can't. It's my limitation, I guess.

That is true it is a lot of hard work and it takes a particular level of skill on the part of the rigger to perform the bindings. Shibari is not for everybody and not everybody can learn it off the bat that's why some find it tedious and borring.

Personaly i find the craft very stimulating creatively speaking. Most of my subs love the feel of the rope around their body and the process feel like foreplay.

   I've always been into bondage. The sight of the female form bound does it for me. Always has, always will. In the past I wasn't really into shibari. I just wanted to tie the girl up and "get to the fun," so to speak. But a couple of years ago, My little girl mentioned an interest in it. So, I bought a couple of books, did a little online studying and got some of the basics down. (Very basic.) When we spent our first evening doing shibari, I saw the effect it had on her. The rope sliding over her skin slowly put her into a headspace where she was just floating. It was awesome to watch. To manipulate and shape the rope to go from a soft pile on the floor to this beautiful artwork that held her totally powerless before Me. The elements of power and trust were magnified. Nothing else existed, just My girl, the rope, and Me. It put Me in a headspace too. One of undivided attention and total concentration on My little girl. It was quite an evening. One that definitely changed My mind on the subject. Shibari is amazing! A highly erotic form of play.

That's exactly how I feel about it.

Interestingly enough, he doesn't do shibari, he does western "damsel in distress" rope bondage.

Is it only men that practice the art of Shibari or can a mistress learn the art as well?

Girl has expressed an interest, but any questions of interest as been primarily towards the Dom and Masters. Of course you have the sub/slave girls speaking about it is used upon them and makes them feel.

Please tell me this is not one of those art forms strictly for men.

Thinks about how much trouble girl had trying to learn Chi Kung. Could not even get the male elders to even speak to me about it.

Just for the record, although Shibari is a Japanese artform i am not Japanese so i had to learn this from scratch too. I had no access to books or lessons, all i had was the internet during the 1990s to get info on the subject. it took me 7 years to learn the basic and all in all i have accumulated about 20 years of practice and i still learn new things every session. but of course there are more sources now than before.

Also bdsm is absolute taboo in our country which made it so difficult to learn let alone practice what i do. but it's slowly changing. right now i am the only performing rope bondage artist in the country.

Oh of course not women can learn this too. there are now a plethora of internet based sources from books to videos which were not available 20 years ago. you should try the works of Mistress Midori and her books. you can alos try checking out www.twistedmonk.com and www.hogtied.com which are some of the best examples of rope work out there. word of caution about hogtied this site is for more advanced riggers and should not be tried without learning the fundamental basics of safety first.
