Not to be a party pooper, but I hope ya don't have such huge greasy and sugary meals ALL day long, you'll be setting your grandson up for  not only a life time of bad eating habits, but maybe even being obese and having tons of health problems eating that way all the time lol.
quote:

ORIGINAL: bondagelover1950

Today my grandson (just short of three) and I had a big bowl of oatmeal well darkened with brown sugar a couple of thick slices of sausage and toast thick with peanut butter. Other days we will have pancakes fried in bacon greaase and then topped with real butter and syrup and then finished off with sausage AND bacon on the side.

As an aside, there is a discussion of the virtues of Soy milk vs Cow milk. For myself I much prefer goat milk. Has a richer and much fuller taste then that processed stuff that passes for real cow milk of that artificle stuff refered to as Soy milk. Alas, I don't haver any goat milk at the moment as a dog pac butchered my milk goat. My step son, neighbor and myself turned that pac into fertilizer but it was way to late for my poor goats.

there is no doubt in my mind she takes very good care of her grandson

Thank heavens I'm not the only naughty one here.
I had an apple turnover, and it was delicious!

Yhmy, have you considered joining Peertrainer? It's free, and you can log your food in every day.
(which I was doing before my family started getting sick and dying...)
I also kept track of my weight watcher's points on there.
I have a list of points if you'd like it.

Honeynut Cheerios and 2% milk.

I eat five small meals a day - keeps the metabolism going. I used to do the 'forego food to lose weight or at least not gain any' thing but the metabolism goes into stasis.

I normally have porridge made with oatmeal and Red River cereal (mostly flax and cracked wheat) with soy milk, but this morning I had something severely decadent that I haven't had in a long long time--a peanut butter and bacon sandwich. I used to love them when I was a kid, and since I had a couple of slices left that my mom sent home with me at Christmas, I figured it was fitting...and delicious!

Hey, at least I used multigrain bread...

Really think its a guy thing to eat so much grease that I would not be surprised if given the spoon they could eat a tub of lard.
I eat eggs but not fried, poached or hard boiled for egg salad sandwiches.
When I do drink coffee, milk and honey are added.
Miss and Sir eat very healthy and of course they know what I enjoy eating so they treat me sometimes to what I enjoy eating. Soups, Dried Noodles and Salad with various vinaigrettes. Nice to have the occasional Bavarian Smokey with loads of sauerkraut (mmm, pickled cabbage).

LOL Yeah, I know what you mean about the chocolate chips, I feel the same about the icing and the other sugary sweet shit they put into granola. The Granola bars I like however, are granola, and honey, no things like chocolate chips.

DV On the show called Good Eats, Alton brown will be showing how to make healthy and nutritious granola bars, I perked up and will be watching, since Ilove granola bars, but just not all the sugar and calories and sheer amounts of crap in them.

Theres 3 tablespoons of sugar in mine. period. and some honey.  190 calories per bar, 33 g carbs and 6g fat. For half of a day's food intake that isnt bad at all, IMHO. It means at lunch I have a small meal and I dont eat again until dinner... so it works just fine for me and my personal weight loss goals. And these arent granola, they are oats and grapenuts. I detest granola, no health food should have chocolate chips in it.

Well, if it makes you feel better, I had a sugarfree redbull, a vicodin and some two Marlboro lights. Yeah, it was that kind of day.  Thank god I am not a parent! ;)
Oh and lunch? Another redbull and a handful of soynuts. Yep, my stress diet plan is sooooo bad

Blushes, for some odd reason keeping a food log drives me bloody mad. I end up feeling compelled to eat MORE than I normally do, so I don't keep a food journal.

However the food point lists would be handy!

As for being naughty, hehehe,  about  an hour after breakfast   I had 3 German cookies,  and then at 12:15 I had two old fashioned doughnut balls, but I did go out and do some work, and I will not be eating the whole package of  25 or so doughnuts. Daddy bought a box for him and a box for me, and I told him no thank you, to a whole box all for myself, I'll just eat one or two and you have the rest.

I love when my dad gets the bug in his ear, to make huge breakfasts. As kids we used to have pancakes and crape roll ups and biskets and gravy and shit all the time.

One of my favorite meals, is home made  pea's and gravy on toast. Or store bought cream chip beef on bread.

I can eat a whole freakking pan of that just by myself lol.

Enough of the healthy stuff for today, Diane woke me at 6 am with my favorite breakfast that I don't get often due to all the cholesterol, saw mill gravy, home make biscuits fired potatoes, eggs and sausage, now that not an every day occurrence as we watch what we eat,try to remain in good health and a bow flex work out right after the huge breakfast..A fresh pot of road tar to finish off the morning...bounty

Soymilk in the carton lasts way longer than that and Rice dream lasts even longer. Humans are not meant to drink cow milk, it is gross and not fit for human consumption except maybe the wee ones. You get phlegm from milk because we are not meant to process it. Milk is for baby cows.

Asher, to be Soy milk tastes way better than real milk, it even lasts longer too. Where Real milk goes bad in 3 or four days, Soy can last up to 2 weeks. Soy Chocolate milk is pretty fun too, and best of all it doesn't give me that I am sick and have a ton of phlegm to hack up and can't feeling, like real milk even chocolate milk does.

Oh wow, I haven't been to a Pizza Hut in at least 5 years. I sure hope they are better than they used to be.
