Just did two loads of dark wash, and the lint was disappointingly pale. Not the rich colors I was hoping for. Oh well.

I'm so sorry that you have to experience things like that.  I know how hard it is for you to get to the laundry room & do the stuff.  The least you should be able to expect is some reward for your hard work.  Harrumppphhhh!!!!!

Anyone else have interesting experiences with dryer lint?

Sometimes I find cat hair in mine.

I do loads of blacks, loads of reds and orange, loads in shades of blue, and ones that are mostly whites.  I empty the lint after every load...and the funny thing that happens sometimes is that I get two layers of colors...a gray layer of cat hair, and then the color of the load.  I guess the cat hair is blown off first.

I love it when I find a large whisker in the lint.  I'm weird, I save cat whiskers and have a collection that goes back over ten years.  Maybe closer to 17 years.

I have a lot of fabric in the house, and one time a tub fell over and broke open and I didn't know about it for a while.  One of the cats yakked up a furball on some netting I had (it had gold glitter in it)...so I washed it in a lingerie zip bag with other white things and the lint was white with lots of gold sparkles.

I also buy feather dusters for the cats to attack and mutilate (last time it looked like a technicolor chicken exploded on my bed).  Sometimes a bit of brilliantly colored feather is trapped in the dryer lint.

Dryer lint is quite a bit of fun! Sometimes it is sad too. Like when I wash my cotton blanket and put it in the dryer and there is so much puffy lint and it is like my blanket is disappearing, I dont like that.

Sometimes I wash things like money, kleenex and who knows what, that can be a tad nerve wracking.

I really do love hanging stuff out on the line. I love the summer for that!

Hey dc who is your muse?

My dryer lint has personality and style! I once had to tear apart my dryer drum to find what was making such a horrible noise. Im not sure what you call those doohickeys that stick out of the drum to make the clothes go around, but I also removed them and to my astonishment, there were many many little perfect circles of dryer lint. Perfect little creatures all round and happy looking. You couldn't find more perfect little fuzzballs if you had molded them by hand.

I can just picture you admiring cute little lintballs....Love it!
It's good to know in the hectic insanity of life some of us can slow down and appreciate fuzz

Well, the person who had the dryer before me must have washed a red towel or something, cause the lint was a lovely ruby shade.

I emptied this lint trap this morning before putting in my clothes. The lint was a beautiful pink, almost magenta. Very nice!

A friend posted on FB about finding cash as she did the laundry, and I thought, "All I ever find is lint."

Not that dryer lint can't be beautiful sometimes.
