Guys...you credible ones there...why are your less than adequate counterparts doing this? Seriously...is there a formula on being able to predict this type thing? What advice would you lend to the guys who just want to get their jollies off and aren't "sincere" about a damned thing?

Looking back over my limited experience contacting women online I realize no one has ever questioned my sincerity and I never thought to mention it.  I suppose that's because I've always just talked and did the getting to know you thing online.  So I'm guessing the "I'm sincere" line is an attempt to jump past all that getting to know you stuff.  Not a good sign if that's the case.

What, like you think this is something new? It's even the subject of a joke from at least 10-15 years ago: "The key is sincerity; once you can fake that, you've got it made."

I'm not sure, Gumshoe.  How many bouquets of flowers have been given by men to women, ostensibly to show love - but actually because the men feel guilty about something?

Okay then it's harder to lie with deeds. Deeds tend to more truthful than words. Or perhaps more to the point when words and deeds don't tally, odds are something's fishy.

My opinion is .... I can think and say I am sincere, but it is my actions and deeds towards the person that proves or disproves my sincerity. Our opinions are important, but it is the opinions of others when dealing with us, that form the impression of us.

Absolutely.  Words can lie, whereas deeds cannot.

Trust and sincerity are only established over time.

Now, while no doubt there are bums out there who would say anything to advance their cause, I think that bashing men has become an easy pastime. It might just be me, but take current music, Beyonce (if i were a boy) every break up song, cast blokes in a poor light.

Maybe women have become hardened and empowered at the same time. A little bit more angry and intolerant of men, somewhat expecting to be messed around and stronger when if it happens.

Perhaps there has been a general lowering of the male stock. and that's why some, forwhatever motive, feel it necessary to say they are sincere

I think guys say it as a gentle way of saying "here's my list..beat me!" At least the couple of times I received a cmail to that effect, that was what things turned into. Now I am hip to that game.

I'm posting this here because the guys read this forum and I think the Ladies will get a little kick out of it.

"I'm sincere." seems to be the line these days. Women want sincere individuals in their lives and so it seems suddenly that if a male propositioning a woman uses this word in reference to themselves that they must mean it.

Ladies...obviously you know it doesn't work this way. Can you speculate why s-type men of a less than credible nature (not all of you) are saying these things?

Guys...you credible ones there...why are your less than adequate counterparts doing this? Seriously...is there a formula on being able to predict this type thing? What advice would you lend to the guys who just want to get their jollies off and aren't "sincere" about a damned thing?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but some dom's acquire tribute (financially or otherwise) from male subs. Some eat their own food out of bowls of piss (check out fagarina.com). So, how is it that female dom's become fragile victims to wimpy males? I mean we aren't talking men from the Chicago Outfit here, we are talking groveling, butlers that kiss female ass.

Maybe it ain't the sub but your own "pimp game"? You won't catch male pimps bemoaning their female bottoms are toying with their hearts.

Just 10 or 15 years? Try 75 or so. That quote is from Groucho Marx.

Not that that detracts from the point you were making, obviously. :o)

Thus revealing the yawning chasm of ignorance that is you.

1. Hell yeah, male doms bemoan losing their subs and bottoms.  Even if they were Owners of their former property.

2. There are musclebound badasses who are way sub.  To women.  To women they love.  Not necessarily to ignorant dorks who post about how they are all groveling and stuff.  Try those putdowns at some events and you'll see just how milquetoast these guys really are, jack.

3. Maybe those poor, fragile women fell in love with those loser wimpy subs.  It happens.  I'm going to a CollarMe wedding in about a week.  What a fucking loser bitch she was, to get all romantic like that.

Because women have expressed a desire for it. If the majority of women started saying "I want a man who is into taking baths in custard" then they would be bombarded with messages from men saying "I like to take baths in custard".

Oh, we should try this! If all the women on this board put "Looking for a boy into ____" and we secretly agreed on what that would be, I think it would be amazing to see how quickly all the submissive men decided they were into it.

Please let me know ahead of time what it will be by private message so I can predate my profile and still appear sincere.  Thanks, I'll owe you one ;)

Isn't it funny though how guys can tell exactly when you're telling the truth and when you're not? If you all agree to ask for the custard thing, you'll get millions of replies. But try telling guys what you really want, and then... crickets.

Hey, thanks for the reference. I thought I saw a comedian use it in his act sometime in the past 20 years. After reading your post, I decided to look it up, and found the following on The Quotations Page:

The secret of success is sincerity. Once you can fake that you've got it made.
Jean Giraudoux
French diplomat, dramatist, & novelist (1882 - 1944)

So it's been around a lot longer than I knew.

Another apt quote is, "If you cannot dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with bullshit".

Hi there, I loved your profile. May I say how beautifully written it is. I am a single ,genuine and real life sub guy. I hope to one day meet the Domme of my dreams, I know relationships must be built on trust and mutual attraction and I know these things can take time to build. I would really like to learn more about you and see if there is any chemistry between us that could be a foundation for something more.

It's so different this side of the kneel.  Aside from the spam ones (those who want to go straight to messenger, passport chasers, etc, etc), the messages I get are nearly always "human".  They vary in levels of "dommie-speak" - but don't argue if I don't respond in sub-speak (which I hardly ever do, and then only to a tiny extent).  I don't even care about absolute truth that much - I assume that everyone will BS to some small extent.

I'm fully aware that this sounds contradictory - but as long as people are "real" with me, I don't care if they tell the odd fib.

What galls me a little is that my response to a woman who seemed to be seriously looking for someone would sound very similar, although I'd never send the same reply to more than one person. Almost everyone that might be a plausible domme for me has probably had to sift through a lot of this pap and the usual array of guys looking for a kinky one-nighter. Its annoying to think that trying to write a serious reply would end up making someone's eyes glaze over she's seen too many generic replies using the same kind of language.
