hee.
I went there in search of tape that didnt cause a horrible allergic reaction and make me want to tear my skin off (lovely visual)

They've got everything, man. Seriously, if you plan on holing up in a basement with your dominant or submissive for a few days, have a Lowe's spending spree. They've got a million different kinds of rope and tape, lots of things for binding, electric play....its a kinky person's dream.

And if an employee asks if they can help, just give some lame excuse about DIYing.

Carpet tape seems perfect btw. But I didnt have enough money!

Rubber tree straps, take out the hooks and hello sweet, sublime pain spankin'....*drools*

I also bought a length of PVC pipe, a few eye hooks, and some rope and made a pair of spreader bars. Total cost: 15 dollars. I'm planning on spray painting them soon, and so that'll cost another 5 bucks, but so what? It's so doable!

Sorry, Lowes is too far of a drive for most things. I prefer the local hardware store. Then again, there is a another store fairly close that is often called Dom Depot by some people here. Either way, have fun!

Yeah, funny where you can find toys. I was in wallymart and found any adjustable spreader bar. They thought it was a cloths rack for the back seat of your car but at about $10 it is awesome. Works well too.

OMG, I have an adjustable spreader bar just like that, but I didn't realize it! I used it to hang clothes - silly me!

Don't forget the dollar store! Lots of pervertibles to be found there, esp in the kitchen section. As for Dom Depot or Lowes, think "rope floggers". You can get everything to make one for around $10 there.

Heh, I've got some of those. With a little effort you can fold them in half, and force a foam bicycle handgrip over the fold for a more finished look

A word of warning, most spray paints won't stick to PVC. You might want to consider wrapping them neatly in black duct tape (gaffer tape if you can find it).

We did this, got an outfit at goodwill for him to cut off my body.. but he liked the outfit so much he couldn't bring himself to do it LOLOL

We love Dom Depot but honestly our favorite is Rural King. I prefer Lowe's for awesome pervertables. The employees at our local Lowe's are so incredibly helpful. The one's at Home Depot are too easy to shock. "You mean, this is for...people?" You can hear their brains go eek. Good times.

I agree. I once made a very effective and rustic looking spreader bar using cut-to-size galvanized pipe, some chain to run through it, four locks and two leather strips. The total cost was under $30.00. The Home Depot route sure beat the $100.00+ cost you'd often spend acquiring such an item through a BDSM merchant. Cost isn't really the factor for me, however; there is often something more meaningful about creating your own implements, rather than just buying them.
