You'd think cops in Pikeville KY. had nothing better to do.. They've charged the slave with prostitution and the Master with criminal solicitation. He's out on $5,000 bond. The sub is still in jail as she was unable to come up with her bond. While the couple was foolish to actually file a contract of slavery (no way do I believe it was an accident! Oh gee, I just tripped and it filed itself, judge.. really. sigh) I find the legal response to it to be ludicrous.

(laughing) Just two stupid people attempting to make their Master/slave relationship appear legal. Yes, I agree that the response by law enforcement was a bit much. However, I also think the couple is to blame. No one "accidentally" files a 5 page contract with the county clerk.

I am a notary and I am still scratching my head over this document. I know I would never sign a master/slave agreement like this considering that it was null and void in the first place.

I bet if the Pikeville cops barged in with the guy having sex with a sheep or goat, they would have left saying, "Let's go, boys. Let's give the happy couple some privacy."

Actually, legally, it might be fun to watch how this one plays out.
It could be kind of interesting because if it hits court, a judge is going to have to rule
and then our old friend precedent comes into play...
I would like to see the legal grounds for the prosecution charges
I suspect a good defense lawyer could shred it in minutes.

Mt bet is this never sees the inside of a courthouse

Perhaps this couple is testing the legal waters, just to see what happens. Maybe they researched old laws and feel they can do this legally. We do have old obscure laws, that differ from state to state, that were never removed from the books, because they were never challenged. There is always a loop hole somewhere in the legal system.

She can marry someone else but not consummate THAT union. She's not marrying the master - there's the difference. No turkey baster necessary.

Sounds like paragrapgh F is a list of exemptions on the contract rather than possible punishments. That would be my unlearned reading of it

My only question:

Is sun tanning bed sessions a necessary material? Similar to water and food?

That's kind of what I was thinking.
Unless they are blazingly stupid, they have to know that no slave contract is legally enforceable.
For the uneducated, you cannot contract for something that is illegal, and last I looked, the Union had still won the war and slavery is against the law in this country.

He is very cunning, a punishment he doesn't have to pay for in the slightest.

but his plan went wrong because he didn't hide his involvement well enough.

Interesting. There is a movement here in Australia that considers "prostitution" and "BDSM" to be completely seperate entities. Prostitution is legal and so to is BDSM although there isn't any real concrete legislation to seperate both, both are included in the adult industry legislative process. In theory, a contract in this case would not include "illegal prostitution" or even "legal prostitution" for that matter maintaining consensual slavery as a completely segregated subject.

Crossing the line and participating in "illegal" prostitution would obviously be a criminal offence. Arrest and prosecution is justified irrespective of the relationship dynamic. "Sex Slavery" itself is intertwined with human trafficking which we all know is illegal so not only is the wording of this contract misleading it is ludicrous. I hope the judgement in this case reflects the distinction between BDSM and prostitution with a reccommendation to review the wording and potential legal recognition of "Contracts of Consensual Captivity" (or similar).

Ok, first of all precedent dosent work from the bottom up like you suggest, it works from the top down. If it does go to court, it wont mean didily squat for precedent. But hey, its just too much fun to launch into a panic atack of 'this could be the turning point for the entire future of bdsm as we know it'

Second, this case is nothing new and not at all unique. Go google 'Glenn Marcus' for an example that happened not that long ago. Debate is still split about wether that was plain ol kinky sex that got tried as prostution by a heavy handed government, or if it actualy was a scumbag that was conducting prostitution and was just using 'Hey, its bdsm' as an excuse to cover up his actions.

My question exactly. Maybe since it didn't get filed he considered the contract not in effect so since he wasn't "legally" her Master he didn't have to help...LOL

well we know she won't get child support, as per rule #18, cause "master" wont bail "slave" out of jail.

What vows? She doesn't need to obey? How can she have said baby, if he doesn't fuck her in a 25 yr period. Does he know her ass and her mouth have no ovaries?

People still don't get it. You can have fun in D/s but slavery is illegal. Many states see a Dominant as a a pimp and the slave is consider the hooker. Contracts do not exist in the vanilla world thus...someone must had open their mouth about two. Yet there are "dominants" who are really seeking hookers and therefore come into the lifestyle seeking to find someone to walk the stroll.

They should know better. That is why I wondered what happened to true D/s the trend is getting out of control.
