FR Ah, Monarch of the Glen. Watched by three million people - and one man, snowed in at his mother's over Christmas. Well, I'm even more astonished now at the shows that have made it in the USA. Apart from Monty Python, they also seem depend on well-drawn caricatures of British types. For my part, my fave comedy show from the USA was M*A*S*H - nothing to compare. A wee poll - Did you Americans get Morse and if so, did you like it? I can't think of a detective show more unlike American police shows (which I've generally loved - especially NYPD Blue and Homicide: Life on the Street - my all-time favourite tec show).
