Status: offline 		i heard reference to giving somone a barbed tongue.
Does anyone here know what that is or how its done, what the purpose of it would serve or is it just something in someones imagination?

That would be my guess as well.

But I wouldn't put it past someone to put in a tongue piercing that was spiked or something.

Are you referring to tongue forking or splitting (bifurcation)? If so that is quite an extreme procedure and if not done properly (and even in some instances when it is properly done) it can leave you with an inability to speak clearly. Status: offline 		It may have already been answered, but the term is quite old and is a reference to barbed arrows and other weapons. The barbs rip and tear if pulled out of the flesh, or if pulled across it. To have a barbed tongue meant that they could flay the skin and flesh off of you with their words, that their tongue/words might not be so bad at the start (going in), but quite a different story as things progressed.

i had a feeling it was some serious mod. It sounds like there are a few different possibilities of what this could be. all of them quite extreme.
