I can kind of see this, for the most part i'm fairly easy going. I'm a bit clingy and needy but my "wants" are few, mostly just some of his time which he's too happy to give me. I focus more on Master and what he desires and try to fulfill those, if he wants a slut that day i take time to learn how to be a better tease, if he wants his kajira i take time to learn my positions better. When a want does pop up i usually write about it in my journal, then it's out there on the table but it's up to him to decide if he wants to fill that, and if he does, when. Usually my wants are small things, such as having him call me something during play or me wanting to try a new technique i found online.

If you changed the word "Doms" to "Masters", I could agree fully.

i think that philosophy works for some. personally, i'm not willing to deny my desires and pretend my wants correlate with his. they will on occasion, and in other instances they won't. we are individuals and i believe it is perfectly normal to want things in life. whether i receive them or not is another issue.

Sure, that is a valid statement, at it's most basic level. I don't see anywhere that it's negating that a slave has wants, too- although it certainly could be implied. I think every human being has wants. Whether or not those wants are fulfilled or not is a very different story. However, since we are talking consensual slavery here, if a slaves wants are not taken into consideration- chances are the Dom is going to have one very unhappy and unfulfilled slave on their hands. I don't see where that benefits anybody. I imagine that, before long, the Dom would no longer have a slave to fulfill His wants if He completely ignored those of the slave.

I posed this to Daddy in the form of " how do i ask for thing i want but am really embarrassed by asking AND/OR am afraid of being told no to?" and Daddy says ::raising finger in the air:: "You can always ask for what you want but you may not always get it. But it will be heard and considered." And that is where I turned into a big puddle of baby girl goo for my Daddy/Master. Good luck!

I agree with the person that said if the wants don't get met at least most of the time, then the Dom will be looking for a new sub.

I have things I want to do with my life, if we don't see eye to eye on that how could we be compatible long term?
