Sometimes, when I find a profile that I like, of a collared s type, I send a cmail telling her to clone herself and send me the clone.

I have never had a negative response. But is there an etiquette issue with me issuing another person's s type an order, even if in jest?

If people can't take a compliment within a witty joke, I think they're taking themselves too seriously. :>

The only etiquette in bdsm is the etiquette between the people involved in a relationship.

If it doesn't state protocol in their profile then imo they're fair game to email.

Just be polite....just like in the real world, ya know?

If propriety is truly a concern, why not just request rather than order? Or perhaps just a straight up compliment more aimed more toward her dominant that her? It is an issue you are raising and can easily make it so it is no longer such. I doubt anyone would seriously make it a point of contention, but I suppose it is possible. The best way to avoid it is to not make it a possible issue in the first place.

Hopefully the people concerned (both D and s type) would take it as it was intended, as a light hearted compliment. I do know however that some people are asshats and as such will get a little chest beaty at the idea.

Now wants to clone self .... so that I can stay at home with Sir and she can go out to work.

I like that...nothing negative said about her master/mistress and nothing suggesting that she commit the betrayal of leaving him/her for you. Sort of a wistful, wishful compliment...I say "Nicely done, Steven"

Since you are clearly only offering a joking compliment, it is not really an order. It is possible that a very protocol-based person, or a highly insecure one, might take some offence but really, that's more their issue than yours.

If this is really bothering you, all you need to do is ask her to request of her owner that a clone of her is made and sent to you. The compliment is there, without any hint of an order.
