When it comes to politics, Spike Milligan said it best - "It doesn't matter who you vote for, the government always get in."

Politics - Poly meaning many and Tics meaning blood sucking creatures.

Cheers.
GPZ500S.  0-60 in 3.76 seconds.  Not bad for an 18 year old with over 69,000 on the clock

Maybe the one who get really involved in the political/religious debates are catatonic in disbelief that a new forum is open!

To slightly misquote Pat Paulsen: "Politics is a dirty business; this is a dirty forum."

Here's question sure to get the thread going - and it combines politics and religion like no other, providing a myriad of contentious issues fit for active debate (aka mudslinging and flaming);

If religion is the opium of the masses, then is it surely not appropriate that a select few be permitted to regard opium as their religion?

Answers on a postcard please

Actually, this forum and I just discovered it myself, should do quite well if only because religion has been used so much throughout history in consolidating and maintaining political power.

It does seem appropriate actually. Since there's always been political manoeuvrings in any religious organizations as well as in any governmental body. So it seems natural that there will be a meshing of the two entities.

You must practice your mass debating techniques in politics, or have a lot of big mass debaters for supporters, look at George Bush The Retard ... got in twice, he must be surrounded by mass debaters.

Question is ... who is/was the BIGGEST  of all mass debaters when it comes to politics?

(did someone just lob a grenade in the dustbin? ... maybe it was a "Holy" hand grenade?)
