Okay, for the record, MRSA doesn't turn into a virus. They are two different species, which would be like a cow turning into a zebra. Other than that, you guys were pretty much spot on....boils are usually caused by staph bacteria that got under the skin, and the pus is dead white blood cells that have been accumulating, trying to get rid of the bacteria for you. They turn yellow and then green the longer they're dead, hence the lovely color....sorry about your breakfast :) MRSA is a strain of staph bacteria that is resistant to the usual antibiotics, but there are other stronger antibiotics out there that will knock it out, though you might have to receive them via IV. If a boil drained and healed up, your immune system took care of it. It if won't heal up, it's stronger than your immune system and you need medical attention and antibiotics. Some people's body chemistry, such as those with diabetes or compromised immune systems, are more susceptible to them.
