Mistresses...

I'm curious. What are the top five most annoying things that male subs do when making contact with you via email on Collarme? Go for top ten if it fancies you. lol

CatdeMedici -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 4:57:59 AM)

Refer to the post: The same 10 questions always asked

I think you've just added number 11.

Actually, I think it's a great question and different from the other postings.

Futuresocks, keep in mind that each Mistress is different and what some may like others may not.  These would be my personal top 5 but may not apply to others.

1.  Don't beg and grovel in an opening email.  Act like a real person.
2.  Don't assume that what you most like is the same as what I most like.  As much as you may enjoy licking feet it turns me off.
3.  Understand that no means no - whether it is a gentle "no thank you, I don't think we'd be compatible" or simply not responding to an email.  If you are blocked don't start a new account and come back and ask me why.
4.  Don't pray to me.  Pray for me if you want; we can all use extra prayers, but I am not and never will be a goddess.
5.  Don't approach me as if my life holds a void that only you can fill.  I've gotten on thus far without you just fine.

Mistresses are people, too.  What used to frustrate me the most was getting automatic respect because of the title without the person bothering to get to know me at all as a person.  I never in my life would have guessed that I would get sick of being called beautiful but it became a meaningless word because I never knew if the subs writing to me really felt that way or just felt that it was appropriate to say.  I would much rather have a single sincere compliment than have people pandering to me because they feel it is necessary in order to get attention.

We have bad hair days.  We have vanilla stresses that we need to deal with.  We have time when we simply need to relax and don't feel like sitting in front of a computer at the ready to answer emails immediately when they come in.  We don't walk around in latex and spiked heels 24/7 - and sometimes not at all.

Most of us enjoy the chance to have a decent conversation with someone who may be truly interested in getting to know us better but isn't pushing for an immediate meeting or an automatic promise of an LTR.  Relationships take time and shared experiences.  One of the most annoying things that either the sub or the Mistress can do is to push for this too fast.

I'd have to say that the single most annoying trait is the sheer rudeness of the average submissive male.  Here's an email that I found in my in-box this morning.

go home to london, leave ireland to the irish, we dont want to share your heritage, we want all your ilk out of ireland. Go home to london before all those muslims take over that shit hole. And please, date democrats, they are traitors, felons, perverts and misfits, and they like stupid women, so u should do just fine., dip shit

I've got to the stage where I can't be bothered dating, because it isn't worth my time to weed out the incoherent, ignorant idiots like this from any decent men who might be out there.  I have to be honest in that it is ONLY American men who behave this way, yet they wonder why I am solely interested in Europeans.  So, his e-mail completely validated my choices:  no Americans, no Republicans.

Edited to add that most American women are wonderful; it's only the men who act up.  Why is that, I wonder?

MsLadySue -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 9:15:11 AM)

What annoys me:
- being called Goddess. I'm no Goddess, I'm me, a human being
- being called Mistress by someone I don't know
- a sub taking it for granted that I want him for sexual service
- being asked what I wear when I play
- a sub asking what bra size I wear
- a sub who writes providing a list of what he enjoys
- having a conversation with a sub where it's like pulling teeth to get
him to answer to my questions without giving him hints as to what I
  want to know

In no particular order -
  • Boilerplate emails.  These are kind of offensive.  Date-spam.  Bleah.
  • One-liners.  If he isn't going to put any effort into it, why should I?
  • Requests for sex/play.  No introduction, not even a hello.  I'm guessing that these guys aren't much for foreplay.
  • Not reading the profile.  If he was really interested, he'd have checked it out.
  • The laundry list.  When I'm interested enough in a guy that I want to know his kinks and limits, I'll ask.

9 out of 10 of the emails I receive contain one or more of the annoyances I've listed.  I find that pretty sad and a bit disturbing.   Most annoying is when fellows who are doing these things whine about their lack of success.  Have they never asked a girl out before?  Are they just not thinking it through when they send out these things?  After sending out a hundred "Will you spank my naughty bottom?" emails and getting no response, you'd think they'd try something else.

Actually, this is pretty good news for the fellows who have a clue.  All of this crapola sets the bar pretty low.  With a minimum of effort, a fellow with a clue can really stand out.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 10:32:43 AM)

I have to choose a top five?  Not possible!  I've gotten all the kinds of emails listed here already, and the majority of them are click-delete.  Sometimes I'm in a mood to mess with them---which means that I am not as averse to mindfucks as I previously thought!

I did block a guy today that pestered me endlessly a few days ago and is now BACK wanting me to call him.  I swear this is one of the guys who bugged me when I was a pro dom...  cannot take a hint.  He is not even important enough to rate an "annoying".  I think of it as junk mail, and just trash it.

GYPZYQUEEN -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 10:38:16 AM)

5 annoying traits...
*one track mind...immediate emphasis on sex...not BDsM

**lack of social skills...no intros..politeness

***selfisness'do-me attitude-focusing on the one thing they
want...strap on..GS etc

****grovelling...they don't know me and don't need to

******begging,whining,complaining...eg)"everyone hates me on" here

I was feeling a lot like that, but last night I met a malesub who contacted me a few weeks ago here on CM.  His email wasn't anything special.  He was going to be in town and wanted to get together for a beer and a chat.  He was friendly and polite, made it clear that he wasn't looking for play.

He's a wonderful guy - charming, friendly, open.  Also tall and handsome.  Woof.  I wouldn't mind waking up with that at my feet.  I don't think I'm the girl for him, but I'm relishing the thought of bringing him around to meet my domly girlfriends.  They will swoon.  He's going to be a fabulous catch for someone.  If she's a friend of mine maybe she'll let me take him out for a spin once in a while.  [;)]

Venatrix -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 10:54:54 AM)

Your point is well taken.  I *know* there are some great guys out there.  I've been corresponding with a wonderful someone for about six months, and if he'd initiated contact with me now, I wouldn't be interested and would have missed out on a terrific friendship.  I look forward to meeting him soonish, but in the meantime it's just bah, humbug to everyone else.  It's really a shame that CM can't provide us with an idiot filter.

LadyMerrisa -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 1:06:21 PM)

Idiot filter? Good idea, but I think, that system would quickly overload and crash, if it has to filtrate messages from all morons, who are sending emails similar to this quoted by you...o_O

LadyHibiscus -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 1:14:06 PM)

Ah, an idiot filter...  happy dream!

Honestly, though, for all the dreck that I delete, I get MANY more cmails complimenting me on my posts, my profile, and my photos.  It's much more fun to send a "thank you" reply!

ShaktiSama -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 1:39:00 PM)

Yep, just have to ditto the majority of what other people have said.

1) Spamming out a generic message to every woman on the site = instant ignore.

2) Sending a message that shows you didn't read my profile by asking for something that I already said, very specifically and clearly in my profile, that I do not want.

3)  Asking in the first line of your first email whether I am into your extremely over-the-top kink = instant ignore.

4)  Calling me a "Mistress", back when I was single and did not have a collared slave.  Calling yourself "slave" when you do not have an owner.  Slavery is a relationship, not just a fantasy about a relationship; calling yourself "slave" when you're not owned is like calling yourself "husband" when you're not married.

Just shocking!! Regardless of nationality or political inclinations, that is plain ignorance!

LadyPact -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 5:36:04 PM)

1.  Any mail that I receive that it is blatantly obvious that the person didn't read My profile.  (There's a bonus that applies if said email specifically includes the phrase "I read your profile" when it is exceedingly apparent that they haven't.)

2.  Any request/inquiry of a sexual nature.

3.  Anybody believing they are the exception to the rule.  If I say I'm only interested in local people, I have no desire to make 'friends' with some twit I've never heard of in Idaho.

4.  Any mail that comes addressed to Me as "Mistress" as a title alone.  The name on My profile is the same number of letters.  If you don't know which one to use, I'm not going to be bothered with you past explaining why.

5.  People that can't be bothered to use spell check.

Edited because I hit enter too early.

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 5:48:38 PM)

Lack of literacy, observational skills, and/or reading comprehension.

If I say in my profile that sissies and foot worship are on my list of hard limits, don't email me if those are your kinks.  If I say "local only" and you live on the other side of the planet, don't waste your time or mine.

In other words, read the profile before you send mail.  It's there for a reason.

Tantriqu -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/2/2009 11:08:22 PM)

1.  their entire email is 'hi' or 'i have IM', likely misspelt;
2.  they outline in exquisite detail precisely how they want to be done
3.  Cleverly including things on my 'hard limit' list
4.  Proving they don't read my profile; until finally
5.  they get their subs to write asking why I won't do their married master even though he twied weewee weewee hard to write an adulterous twitchy switchy do-me profile I could smell a mile away.
6.  they prick [male bitching] about how they've been burned before
7.  they tell Me what I'll be wearing
8.  they feel the need to enclose cockshots;
9.  cockshots with sloppy white socks and huge bushes [theirs]; and/or
10.  cockshots penetrating someone else's bush. [:'(]

God-damned weirdest one was a guy wanting to cannibalise himself.

But at least the chaff makes the good 'uns stand out!

Futuresocks -> RE: 5 Most Annoying Traits (5/3/2009 1:52:53 AM)

One thing I haven't noticed on here is the "You're beautiful" complimentary statements dommes get. I've heard those are annoying.

And please understand, I am not asking this to fish out what might be wrong with my contacting others. I ask simply because hearing about why desperate pervs are rejected is funny. [8D]
