i sincerly hope this does not come off like i'm feeling sorry for myself.............. but if it does.............well.............damn.

Went to my pcp today because i had already taken one of the treximet's and i knew i could only take two in a 24 hour period....i didn't want to ruin the opportunity for them to give me something else by taking something that hadn't worked the first time.
A fw weeks ago she ahd run some blood tests, checking for a blood clotting disorder. They took 7 vials of blood.
The results indicate i have Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) which she quickly pointed out to me that most people in the medical field refer to it as 'motherfucker'.... and i have a greatly elevated level of plasminogen.  She informed me that due to the MTHFR she was highly concerned. Actually she said they were both worrisome, but due to my headache she just wanted to go over the urgent parts.... She took me off of my birth control and asked me if i was planning on having children. i informed her that i had read the papers she had given me where it said that i would not be able to carry a baby and if i did it would more than likely be born with downs syndrom, spinal bifida, etc. i informed her i was willing to do a hysterectomy today if she would sign me up for it. to which she laughed... wth??? i wasn't joking at all...Apparently she was further starteled by my comment about allowing them to pour cement if they wanted.....
In addition she also gave me the name of a bypass (gastric) surgoen and expressed her concern if i put that off..................
Just an update i suppose.
Kali

Kali my friend, I hate that you are having to go through all this. You know I love ya to peices and constantly pray and send healing energy your way.
I hope in the end of it all, that things stay on the lower side and not the higher.  Remember alot of what Dr's say is guess work and I agree that a second opinion is in order, most medical policies allow a second opinion

Fangs, regarding the blood thinner. I had to have it when I was in the hospital with the pneumonia but not on it now, and Im on hold of any impact play or anything else for that matter, yet because of not only getting the thinner out of my system but being  on good old prednisone but now on a step down.  There was one shot I had to take through the tummy and while most are faded, there are still some that bled under the skin.  Course I do tend to hold on to bruises longer than most, but I think that because of the little play I have had over the years before I was blessed with poen and BlackPhx it kinda virgin skin.

*hugs my Kali*

You know that you are always in my prayers and I love you to pieces, my sister of heart in IL.  I wish I knew what to say or do to make this better, and we talked at length last night.  I'm always here for you, and I just wanted you to know that.

Love,
Red
