Is it just me, or are things getting real soft in "Off Topic" these days?
I fear it is going to end up being a dumping zone for cooking, weight loss, can't find a man/woman, all people on here are fake, what sign are you, and what sort of dogfood should I buy, and other similar threads.
This was the main reason I was against a dedicated "Politics and Religion" forum.

Someone check if hell has frozen over. I actually agree with Firm on something.
It seems as if both forums have been diluted. People who used to post on political threads I don't see here anymore, and I think a lot of the people who post heavily in the politics section don't go to off topic that much anymore and miss threads they might otherwise have posted on.
It's also difficult to distinguish what topics belong in what category. I've seen topics in both that were probably better suited for the other. Not to mention that we recently had three torture threads, all talking about basically the same thing, but two running in the politics section and one running in off-topic.
Then again, it is fairly new, so maybe it will just take some time for people to regularly check each board.
And MzMia, I do agree, things are getting very soft over there. I have to double-check sometimes to see if I haven't accidently logged in to the polls and random stupidity section.
