Before you start your hijack of the thread, could you point out which "liberals" have called President Obama a socialist/communists,not born here or any of the other silly ,stupid, asinine things?

Are you referring to legitimate criticisms of Obama`s policy, are the illegitimate ones coming from your party and boss Limbaugh?

With your logic, all criticism, valid or not,is the same.

How preposterous...

Imagine, RML, that every time one of our local left-leaning rational posters said something, it was demanded that they answer for the posts of one of our left-leaning completely irrational posters.  Regardless of topic.  Regardless of whether the consistently smart and rational poster even read, or knew of, the comment from the consistently rabid poster.

I'm a wee bit grumpy this morning, RML, so let me know if you can visualize the tables being turned in a smaller venue, before I try moving on with this.

Well, the reality is that conservatives are apologizing to Limbaugh at the demand of other conservatives.

It is not Democrats asking them to answer for what they said.

I mean, how many have we had so far?  Steele, Gingrey, Cantor, and I think there were two or three others I'm too lazy to look up right now.

How pathetic is it that an asinine blowhard who makes his living by creating controversy has leading Republicans bowing and scraping before him?

“I regret and apologize for the fact that my comments have offended and upset my fellow conservatives—that was not my intent. I am also sorry to see that my comments in defense of our Republican Leadership read much harsher than they actually were intended, but I recognize it is my responsibility to clarify my own comments….

“Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich, and other conservative giants are the voices of the conservative movement’s conscience. Everyday, millions and millions of Americans—myself included—turn on their radios and televisions to listen to what they have to say, and we are inspired by their words and by their determination.”
(Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-GA)
Rep. Gingrey Bows Down Before Rush Limbaugh

So let's see.  We have two inflammatory talk show hosts and one disgraced former politician being hailed as the "voices of the conservative movement's conscience".

Is this what you are defending?

How about this one - several Liberals have criticized Barack Obama for a lot of different things. I guess that must mean that Barack Obama is a two-headed monster who eats babies and old people, and is someone who every Liberal needs to immediately disavow.

Why not? Same logic.

Nope, don't follow the logic at all.

Have any of those liberals who criticized Obama been later forced by political pressure to get on bended knee and ask for forgiveness as have the Republicans who dared criticize Limbaugh?

Gobbels would have been in awe of RL.

Clinton era...long time gone.....(can't blame him anymore)....the reign of the worst president in US history finally came to a close.....the New President ELECT, ( not the previous ursurpation president)...fighting, attempting to salvage that part of America that his administration can, noting the failed economy of the previous administration's policies bringing the country to a socialized state....and The GOPS, RL, et al; can only sling feces.....really helps us Americans. As I said, you obviously dont have enough background in economics to understand that Clinton most certainly cant be blamed, nor do you understand enough to know that the economy did extremely well under GWB until the Democrat history came home to roost.  Go fetch a book, you might learn something.

That's all very nice, RML, but since it doesn't look like you are going to even make an effort to understand where I'm going with an answer, I'll be moving along.

       Have a nice day

Somehow I knew I was going to hear that.

Whenever you don't have an answer you revert to claiming someone doesn't understand what you said.

But instead of further explaining your points you pull a Cartman and it's "screw you guys, I'm going home".

Too funny, and too predictable.

Yeah, the exact same.

How is it a huge effin deal that A Republican criticized A talk show host.

It's even got to have its own news article, its own thread on collarchat, huge effin wow, oh-my-fucking-gawd.

And I assume "playground rules" discussion is anything that disagrees with you, correct?

But feel free to elaborate your points, since you're doing all this typing anyway, you might as well say something constructive.

No, I think it was more like Republican A,B,C,D,E,F and G criticized talk show host A.

Then Republican A,B,C,D, and E tucked their little puppy dog tails between their legs and told talk show host A how sorry and wrong they were and how great he is.

We're still waiting on Republicans F and G to bow and scrape, but judging from past history it won't be long.

Hummm... why do we "liberals" obsess over Rush Limbaugh? (he asks, rehtorically...)

I suppose part of it is that we like a good joke as much as the next guy.

But, to paraphrase Will Rogers: "When I make a joke, people just laugh... when Rush Limbaugh makes a joke, it becomes policy for his zombie minions."

The one thing I really dislike aboutt he fat drug addict is that his BS has coarsened the tone of political argumant in this country. You don't think he does? Tell me, who came up with terms like "Feminazi" or "Barrak the Magic Negro?" I have yet to listen through one of "Fat Bastard's" shows without him slagging on gays, on minorities and on women. I distinctly remember his glee at the passage of Colorado's Ammendment #2, and how he "hoped this would spread across the country, so that the US would have a legally sacntioned scapegoat."

I don't know about you... but I've heard those sorts of comments before. Care to guess where? Hint: think 1938.

There is no doubt in my mind that political discussion will be much improved, as soon as his own party, tired of being bitched out by him whenever they try to retool themselves, decide to take him down, and relegate is sorry ass back to his failed career as a carpet cleaner... Oh, wait, carpet cleaning was the other guy's failed career, wasn't it? I meant sportscaster... (Hard to tell the two apart at times.)

Powell Takes on Cheney, Limbaugh in Battle for Republican Party

May 24 (Bloomberg) -- Former Secretary of State Colin Powell said the Republican Party needs to break free from the grip of conservative radio commentator Rush Limbaugh and forge a more inclusive identity.

Powell responded to comments by Limbaugh urging him to become a Democrat, and by former Vice President Dick Cheney that he had abandoned the party. Powell declared his loyalty to the Republican Party and said he is trying to boost its electoral prospects.
“Rush Limbaugh will not get his wish and Mr. Cheney is ill-informed,” Powell said on CBS News’s “Face the Nation” program. “I’m still a Republican.”

Powell said the party must be “more inclusive” to expand its electoral base or risk losses similar to those suffered in the November elections, when Barack Obama won the White House and Democrats seized control of the Senate.

“On almost every demographic indicator the Republican Party is losing,” Powell said. “The Republican Party has to take a hard look at itself and ask, ‘What kind of party are we?’”

So he is bad for "feminazi" and "Barrak the Magic Negro" but your just being cute with "fat drug addict" and 'fat bastard" Why do you fixate on his weight so much when you insult him?

Oh and for the record I think feminazi fits several women I know to a T. As far as the Obama crack, if he said it, he should have appologized. It was a nasty crack.

BS. The song itself was recorded by someone else as a parody of a newspaper article about BO, and is extremely funny. Political satire doesnt stop with cartoons of GWB as a monkey because of a non-existent race issue.

The term "feminazi" was coined by Tom Hazlett, a professor of law and economics at George Mason University.

The source for the "Magic Negro" parody is the LA Times: Obama the 'Magic Nego'

Right. And his using of those terms on his broadcasts, over and over and over have done nothing to make the conversation within the US, on issues that are important, more worthwhile. Instead, his bullshit just distracts people from the real arguments.

Oh, and "thishereboi"... the use of invective was intentional. It's exactly the same sort of shit that he's been spewing for decades.... funny that it's convienint for you to notice it now, but not when you are listening in to his show.
