I live in a small area where there are no groups or munches to attend. It's harder to meet people, but not impossible. I've already met people from CM and not all were necessarily close. Hell, for that matter, I've introduced people who I thought were "vanilla" to CM. You never really know what people are into until you start talking. Take the first step, make an effort.
