As for the alliance, I'm not sure what to think other than that it's a rather odd set of bedfellows. It's really difficult to imagine a harmonious partnership between India, China, and Russia. At least one of them is always going to feel as though they're getting sold out by the other two. And they'll probably always be right, too. And the currency scheme? Sounds like a pipe dream to me. Who's driving this idea? Russia, right? To strengthen the ruble. There's the first crack in the partnership right there, because the Chinese would have to be fools to undermine the dollar when we owe so many to them. I really don't see that as a realistic threat at the moment.
