I don't beleave for a second its got anything to do with it.  The next 207 they talk to will be just as different . who decieds what the magic number of contestants it will be anyway? Johnson and Johnson did them in the thounds, and they got no clearer an aswer either

I was never spanked, not once, i was very seldom yelled at....not because my parents were lazy but because I was a compliant child, they said no, so I didnt do it.

I am deffinately a submissive massochist now.

Go figure.

As for not spanking being lazy, I say poo poo to that. I have 4 um's and I very rarely if ever smack, I find it pointless and ineffectual. IMHO it takes more effort to find find a creative effictive form of discipline than it does to yell and smack the hell outta my kids.

Hmmm interesting article.  I was spanked as a child and I'd like to think it helped me learn right from wrong.  I've seen families with children who were never spanked and the kids just run wild all over the place, so I like to think that moms spankings did in fact help me learn and grow.  Funny story, when I was younger I was bugging mom when she was cooking and she finally whipped around and glared at me holding a wooden spoon she was cooking with.  Getting scared I quickly ran away not realizing she had no intention of using said spoon put didn't even mean to be threatening with it.  REegadless that spoon scared me and was one of moms ultimate intimidation tactics.  Even funnier is the fact that she never actually used it on me as at the mere sight of it was enough to get me to complay with any one of her requests.  Just goes to show that a little creative parenting goes a long way.
