Seems explanatory enough...we've all thought about it....now there's a movie:

Status: offline 		       I loved Independence Day.  That was just a great popcorn movie.  The Day After Tomorrow was fun too.  This looks like a nifty ride.

The only things I think when I hear, December 21, 2012 is crackpot, loon, nutcase, paranoid, moron, etc.  I expect some New Agers will be sitting around a crystal chanting, loonies living in homemade bunkers will be counting their ammo, non-credentialed pseudo-scientists will be watching the skies for UFOs, and maybe a few religious cult fanatics will be drinking odd tasting Kool-Aid.  But nothing will happen. 

I'm sure it will be an interesting movie.  Day After Tomorrow was entertaining, even though it wasn't based on any scientific facts (just like all the crackpot theories associated with 12-21-2012).

Status: offline 		I hope the movie lives up to it's trailer. Kinda cute he picked Friday, Nov. 13 as the opening date.

As for the rest; a girl can hope.

Status: offline 		It looks like it should be a good check your brain at the door and grab some popcorn movie.  Time will tell.

As for the actual date of December 21, 2012 - I believe it will be a Friday.

Okay, it's a little creepy that different culture's prophecies point to that date as the end of the world and that it coincides with a galatic alignment - but only a little. 

I more worried about how people will act as that date approaches.  Can a society psyche itself into self destruction?

Time will tell.

      Marc, I would be a lot more troubled about separate cultures having a common date for the end of the world if it WASN'T connected to some sort of galactic alignment.  Now THAT would be creepy...
