I used to get these all the time, until I started drinking 100% cranberry, I hated the taste of it though, so I would mix it with half water and just drink a whole lot of it during every day. This way, I still got my cranberry juice, and a tonne of water. Worked great for me!

Thanks for all the info everyone. I never had a UTI in my life until i had a kidney stone a few years back. Now i have to be very careful and get quick treatment or it will be a kidney infection in no time. I have tried everything you guys mentioned, just not consistently. I think i will ahve to put my foot down and say no play unless i am in the position to drink alot of water before and after (and thus flush anything i can) and have the cranberry pills. I was so thrilled when i discovered those because any juice is a killer on my stomach.

I had wondered about the lube and i do tend to be sensitive to everything (benedryll gives me hives...sigh) so i will explore ways to stay lubeless.... I have pushed this past my GP and am seeing a urologist, btw. it just doesn't seems to be helping yet.

I would recommend taking concentrated cranberry capsules several days before and after play if not every day of the month. I've found it to be very effective in preventing UTIs. I would also recommend urinating very soon after play is over, that will help shed the bacteria out of the urethra.

So you only have this problem when you get inserted/ penetrated?

I just recently tried this mooncup menstrual care item and i have upset the plumbing...
It feels a bit like a yeast or UTI but i do not think it is either... i think i have irritated my G-spot

Maybe he has to be less hard on your G-spot or shorter time stimulating it or make the angle at penetrating you different

Good morning!
I would get checked out as SOON as it starts to get painful. Anything genital or in that area has a tendency to "go away" by the time we are ready to head to the doctor's. So best if you were checked right away, not a few days later.
My second worry is that it is not UTI at all. Could it be vaginal? I had "yeast infections" for near 2 years every month for about 3 weeks out of the month, Could not play, sex, walk, sit, and I was red, swollen, burning, dry, hurt when I peed, etc. They kept diagnosing me as Yest infections with all sorts of meds. Finally went to a GYN-not family doc and after another 6 months found out it was hormones. I was dry and that was causing friction(not even sex friction but walking, sitting friction!!)-esp when around your period when the vaginal ph's change. I am more suseptible to the changes than most women. They put me on that pill that gives you 4 periods a year to starighten out my hormone level and next year I go for hormone testing if it still hurts. But so far has not. I am 37 and in pre-menopause, do you think that could it? Your body changing?
It got to the point where I was limping, lay back, hitched up that blanket and said "look, I am red and I HURT!" And yeah she saw but again everything checked out normal. And if they have to test you for everything-let them, I was so ashamed they tested me for all the STD's and I had not had sex for 2 years but at that point-the pain wins. Meantime, try AZO yeast tablets, 3x a day, they take the peak off the pain and I also use the Walmart brand of hydrocortisone for vaginas-cannot rememebr the name...vagi-something. It's upstairs. Use it on your lips and clit but not inside, takes the sting away. But yes, have them check it RIGHT afterwards. Good luck!

Update: Fantastic news

So we really wanted to play and planned for a Monday night. Almost pushed it on Sunday, but i stopped and said no, we're going to do it right. Upped the Cranberry pills, flushed my body with water and only water. Was careful not to use lube in the clitoral area. Played hard (double digit orgasms) followed by peeing, washing, more cranberry pills and water water water all week. Life is looking good!

Thanks for the kick in the pants to do it right!

In the future if you can't shower til later, maybe keep some Handi-wipes packets or something like that with you when you're out and about.

Are you sure they are an actual infection? Or do you have spasms that feel like an infection? I had a lot of problems like this and wasn't having actual infections, just spasms. They put me on medication that cost over a hundred dollars a month and I decided to go with the over the counter AZO for about six dollar a month.

I also found when with a new lover, I had to face more of this stuff. It seems my body react's as if I am allergic to their cum. Should have seen my face when the doctor said that one! lol
