I remember a party I was at and someone was using incense in a scene. The smell of it made it difficult for my Lord and denika to focus on their play. This is just another perspective to consider if other people are going to already be in the middle of play when you start.

If she is using White Buffalo Sage - the kind of sage used for smudging - there is little risk of too much smoke. It just doesn't burn that quickly. Typical incense has chemicals included in the ingredients to make it burn and smoke more.

It was the smell of the incense that bothered them and not the smoke. Since I am not familiar with smudging, I do not know what kind of odor or how strong the smell of burning sage is. Thank you for the information. I am curious about it now, so may do a little research.

Hello There,
I would suggest being sure the board, nails, hammer, your hands, and his penis & scrotum are washed in betadine or some other agent first. I'd also advise not puncturing his actual balls, but rather the skin only.
I saw a domme use needles to pin her sub's balls to a butterfly board.
She said there will be a lot of blood & not to freak out about it as it's normal.

Everything will be sterile and clean including the board that we are using. The nails will be autoclaved and sealed on the day of and I will have washed and sanitized my hands and his scrotum. And yes, the nails are only going through the skin, not the testicles, although now he's asking if after he's healed from the nailing, we can puncture a testicle with a thumbtack...lol.

As for the sage used for the smudge circle...IMO the smoke that is produced by the sage is less thick and pungent than the smoke from marijuana and dissipates more quickly. It also has a very similar scent.

As much as this makes me wince... I think this idea is awesome! I wonder though...

Lady Shoshin-- How is it possible to ensure the nails are sterilized prior to pulling them back through the scrotum? Pull the nails out of the board while keeping them in the boy...followed by a good dunk and soak in a cup of Purell? (Winces again...damn...that's SO Evil. I love it.) Then slide them out?

The mechanics of it have me thinking... as it has to be very difficult to pull the nails from the board without them retracting through the skin.

I still want to see pics though...(Gads! What am I saying!?)

Thats actually what I was thinking as well. My owner tends to be a bit allergic to smoke and scents like incense, ciggarette smoke, etc so if someone started burning that in an place that would seriously start messing with him and not in a good way.

On behalf of people who may be playing there who may have similar issues I'd strongly suggest that people are somehow told that sage will be burned that evening so they can decide whether to stay or leave. We'd be pretty annoyed if we had paid to go to a club for unrelated reasons to have sage burned and interrupt our scene.

I'm sure that all involved and visiting that evening are being informed of all health and safety issues from all stand points.

being allergic to the smell of sage myself... bringing allergy pills..so i'll be able to breath the next day... LOL

But I see Misstress making sure for those attending, they all know in advance of what the scene is being prep with so other can take precautions.

That's why said owner wanted to know in advance as well... so prep can be made for the evening and others informed as well.

And the countdown begins!!!!!

Today is exactly 2 weeks before I get to drive 5 nails through my sub's ball sac, and I am so excited!!!

Today is a farewell to orgasm for 2 weeks for my little boy. And what a farewell it will be. We are starting the day off with a party. There will be 5-10 kinky couples joining us at the boy's home through out the day, and there will be all kinds of kinky play. Haven't heard of actual nails...but that isn't surprising...not My scene :-) I do have pics in an old Re:Search book of this being done with sterile (I hope) syringe needles...and the gauges can get quite big...damn, I'm typing this with My legs crossed I just realize LOL...
