I know my Ashley is busy sleeping. Where is another question? In the evening, she will come into the office if I am online too late to remind me it is time to go to bed and give her the nightly treats. In the morning, she is sleeping on the bed so once I stur she knows it is time for her morning treats. Unless she wants something, she basically leaves me alone. Fortunately does not cross the road as compared to Rags who always stopped at the curb and looked both ways before crossing.

Angel is on the window ledge in the master bedroom, spying on my neighbors three outdoor cats and probably planning her next terrorist attack on them when she goes outside. Misty is snoozing on her bed. I was missing Lily today because I realized I was singing, and no one came up to protest, the way she used to do :(. She hated my singing voice but it apparently doesn't bother Angel or Misty.

Im not entirely sure what my cat is doing. She just fell off the porch, ran in circles around the yard briefly, then climbed halfway up a palm tree and is now hanging there twitching and looking at me strangely.

Did one of yall mail her some cat nip?

I have to share - about an hour ago, Holly went in to look at the kittens (she's still deciding which one is hers) and the puppies followed her. One of them went in and kissed a kitten ... and it (not Gwen, but the kitten) hissed at it LOL

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/3/2011 10:11:08 PM)

Ya gotta love cats......I had set my alarm 15 minutes early all last week cuz I had things to get on the way to work.  I was off Saturday, and when I went to bed last night, reset my alarm to the regular time.  Well, at exactly 2 minutes past the time the alarm went off last week, KB was right there trying to tell me to get up, I was late!  The reason I know this is beacuse as soon as I got up, he went back to sleep on the blanket on the couch, not to his food dish.  He's saved my ass from being late before, so I can't help but tell him he's a good boy!

So, tonight, I've explained to KB that may alarm is set even later because we're starting later at work.  We'll see whether or not he leaves me be in the am.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/3/2011 10:13:02 PM)

awwwwwww....that is so cyoot, Karen!  I didn't think little kittens could hiss.....quite the little tough guy!

BTW....baby pics would be nice!

SweetDommes -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/3/2011 10:30:29 PM)

LOL, I'll work on pictures.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/4/2011 4:48:25 PM)

Misty turned her nose up at tidbits of feta-pesto stuffed chicken breasts, but Angel ate hers (and Misty's, too).

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/4/2011 11:19:33 PM)

Mine were all right here next to me, but KB was trying to get into a box I've packed with my books, so I grabbed the can of air I have and fired off a shot at him....that pretty much scattered everyone BUT KB.

Actually, I'm surprised I haven't gotten yelled at, I was 2 hours late coming home from owrk, and no one gave me a hard time....of course, I haven't checked my bed yet.......

Gotta go....Boo wants to play NOW!!!!

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/4/2011 11:21:27 PM)

Cashew is beating the hello out of the window, chasing something I cant see.   Amos is...   hell, I dunno: she's made herself invisible again.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/4/2011 11:37:20 PM)

Greedy, mine try to catch the big bumblebees hovering outside the windows during the day, and they have enough "oomph" behind them that I'm scared they may pop out the screen and take a dive.  I keep the windows down so they can't get to the whole scren, which they don't appreciate at all!  At least it's getting warm enuf for the a/c, so I close the windows for that....once they are all nice and chilly, it's no biggie that the windows are closed.  And there are also wasps that land on the screens, and I really don't want anyone getting stung.

BTW, did you ever find what Cashew was hunting in your bed?  Any boogie monsters?

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/4/2011 11:41:20 PM)

No, I never did (but I still havent slept on it again,.. the sofa is WAY more comfy, even if the Kids dont have MUCH room).

yeah, when I open the windows it's pretty much only a few inches.. for the same reason.

He's left off now, so whatever he was chasing is gone.

Amos still hasnt made an appearance..I think she's plotting..

Chasing Invisible "things" around the house

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/5/2011 9:01:51 AM)

Mine are napping around.

Spicy had a rough night outside as it was raining like mad at 4am...but I turned the light on and looked out of the window, he didnt turn up...so he had the choice to come in.

Urmel is attacking summer more and more at present with his hormones getting too much on him so I am glad that he will get fixed after 15th of this month...

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/6/2011 11:40:50 AM)

last night i wanted to give summer a rest in the cage as urmel tried to attack her all day long, his hormones are really getting the better of him but summer wasnt impressed about my idea...she wasnt impressed more either when i put pepper in there for her company...and urmel was going nuts for not getting in to her...later I let them out as I dont want to give her even more stress with her expecting her kittens in about 2weeks time and decided to put urmel in the cage for that night...knowing that it isnt really fair to him either as it isnt his fault that he isnt fixed yet [8|]...and gosh did he rebell in that cage...so nope...no cage here...just didnt work...once the kitten are born and start walking around I will sell this cage on ebay...but for their first weeks that cage will still be used as I cant afford to let summer have them hiding again every day at another place as she did last time...as in this flat she would be awfully successful, as here are many areas where she can get in and I cant.

I believe that she already decided to spend so much time in my bathroom, to hide her litter underneath the bathtub once they are due...so after the 15th of april my bathroom door will remain shut to prevent that...[>:][>:][>:]

XXMystiqueXX -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/6/2011 11:53:41 AM)

Interesting question......and some very cute answers :)    Kitty #1 is sound asleep in the laundry basket next to me.  She was "helping" me w/ laundry this morning.  Her name is Pebbles aka "the assistant" or formerly known as LBK........believe it or not that stands for *lunch box kitty*.  she was found in a closed locked lunch box with a note reading "Find me a good home" .....dropped off at a business.  That is her in the picture ;)
Kitty #2 is a brand new addition..... an orphan who, with her 2 brothers, was left at a rescue.  Her name is Layla and she is currently chasing kitty balls with bells on them around the floor and chasing the rat terrier away when Mocha gets too close.  She too is a torti.  They are the real Rulers of this household  LOL

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/6/2011 7:24:30 PM)

My kittehs are waiting patiently at their current home for me to come & bring them into mine tomorrow. They are 2 big boys, named Professor Orange & Hemingway. I can't wait to meet them tomorrow. I know that we will adore each other & they will beg to come live with me.

slave2k -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/6/2011 7:55:29 PM)

My cats are all enjoying a great spring. They love to go to my backyard and enjoy sunny afternoons except when it rains and by night they sleep away knowing that things will be alright the next day. lol. No kidding. I really love them and never let them out of my house.

You're an angel XXMystique. I'll bet the little souls really brighten your day as mine brighten my day. I rescued them from the streets. Cats
are so abused, it's good to know some people care. Wish there were stricter laws against cat haters. Seriously, wish we could kick their asses somehow. All blessings for you and your babies
(as I refer to mine even though some are already aged).

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (4/6/2011 9:22:47 PM)

All of my indoor and outdoor beebees have full bellies....I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get Sissy in the cat carrier tomorrow.  I'm taking her to get spayed, and she's unfortunately aborting kittens.  I was hoping to get her done before that happened, but trying to catch her is giong to be hard.  She's not exactly feral, just skittish.  Then I'll get her brother done.  I'm hoping that when I can tell people that they are spayed/neutered and have their rabies shots, that maybe I can find them homes.  There is another friendly cat that has just had kittens, so I'll have her done once they are old enough.  Sissy is a little tortie, Toby is gray tiger, and the other little mama is sort of brindle colored, not tortie, because she's brown and yellow and gray...no black.

Mystique, you're so cool for taking in the kittehs.  3 of my 4 are all rescues, KB was a barn cat, and they have brought me untold hours of joy.  I hope whoever locked Pebbles in that lunchbox rots in a special place in hell for it.  My whole family believes in getting our pets from the Humane Society, and supporting them by buying all their cat and dog food there.
