Well, my stupid pregnant cat is now a mama cat. She had 6 babies, 2 didn't make it. The four that are left are: a tortoise shell, an orange tabby, and 2 grey tabbies (at least, tha'ts what they look like so far). My cat is currently eating wet food off of a plate just outside of the box that I moved them to (she had them under my dresser - then it was wet down there and they were all cold ... so I moved them) and growling as she chows down.

[8\|]

Congratulations on the new kittens! Sorry to hear two did not make it. Angel is on the dining room floor snoozing. Misty was disappointed that I had left-over hoison-ginger glazed beef for dinner. She was hoping to beg for some tidbits, but decided not to when she realized what I was having.

Sorry about the two that didn't make it. Right now, Squeaks is hogging up the whole keyboard tray on my desk......she has taken it over as hers....everytime I sit down here, she first comes to me for hugs, then patiently (well, for a cat anyway...)waits for me to move the keyboard. If I'm not immediately obedient in filling her demand, she simply sits on the keyboard.......which is a totalppain in the ass when I'm already typing.....I've lost count of the imcomplete e-mails that have been sent......[8\|]

kissheels - I know that :-P we know exactly who the daddy of these kittens is ... and I'm kind of hoping that they will all be as large as him. If so, we may never have to worry about coyotes again (seriously, the father of these kittens is the size of a small coyote). I'm sad that two of them didn't make it, especially as one of them was white and the other was a slightly darker orange than the one that made it. The others are all small, but seem to be doing ok. She's nursing them again, and Holly just went in and took pictures (after giving Gwen an offering of wet food lol)

Well, Karen, Smooch was the smallest of the 4 that we adopted, and I don't know how big the 2 we placed elsewhere got, but he's HUGE now......bigger than the chihuahuas downstairs, and probably goes about 18 pounds. I've found that the size of the kitten doesn't always correlate to the size of the kitteh.

I'm sorry two didn't make it, I can send my Cat for re enforcement with the coyotes, last summer he stood toe to toe with a friends doberman (mind You the dog was on a leash) but still didnt back down, wishing You the best with all the kittens

kissheels - thanks for the offer - but I'm pretty sure that between our dogs and our cats (especially if they get big like their daddy), we won't have to worry about them LOL soul2share - I know. With the dogs, it always seems like the runt ends up the biggest in the end lol

The only time that we had kittens was when I was way younger, and Tojo had the two of them in the box spring of my bed. We gave them up, that was before our family adopted the thinking of you should ALWAYS have 2 kittehs. My little mama cat is fine....she was actually trapped in the basement/crawlspace of the building. She must have crawled in thru the decorative bricks, and then the landlord replaced the grating on it. Other than being famished, she appears to be okay. I had sent an e-mail to the LL day before yesterday, and she was still in there last night.....I'd decided that I would wait for the cover of darkness in the early am hours and get her out myself. He wants to get rid of the strays, even if it means poisoning them. I so want to find homes for them......so far, no takers. At least all 3 of them know what the trap is and steer clear of it. Sissy got caught in it last week, and I sprung her. Toby lost a chunk of his ear in the part that snaps shut, so he definitely steers clear!

Angel just realized she can spy on my left-side neighbor's three outdoor cats from the master bedroom window when they're out in their yard, and has been enjoying doing that.

It is MORNING! lol.. All mine are happily charging through the house and out into the yard, morning means mama unlocks the kitty door to the back yard and it is time for chase, chase each other, chase tails, chase noseeums, chase up and down the stairs, just chase fast. i call this my morning zoo.

What I brought home was a Chicken Caesar Salad but what I ended up eating was a Caesar Salad, since I felt so guilty being stared at by the beggars that I ended up giving them most of the small amount of chicken that was on the salad. Angel is now galloping around the house like a fool. Misty is perched atop some laundry I haven't put away yet.
