KB does this thing when he wants attention...he'll get up on someplace and start knocking things off to the floor.  He looks right at me, I'm looking at him telling him I'll beat his kittybutt if he does it, and he DOES IT!!!!

Lilly just cries until you give her what she wants.
Binxie starts with the stare, then goes to poking, just one nail, over and over until you give her attention.
I have threatened a manicure... it doesnt stop her.

My cat Squeek would follow me into the bathroom and once I sat down and was trapped, helpless and couldnt move..
he would look up at me with his you-had-better-pat-me-now look. If I didnt pat him, he would bite my naked kneecap. Then he would give me his look again. If I still didnt pat him, another bite on the kneecap.
Needless to say, he got his pats.

I had forgotten that kiwis are much like catnip to a cat. I hadn't put all the groceries away due to my back spasms & when I got up this am, I figured out why da Boyz had been killing the plastic grocery bags, because the kiwis were in several places on the floor. They had even moved 2 grocery bags across the room in their attempt to get the last one.

The sound that brought me fully conscious this morning was, I thought, someone using a computer keyboard. I sat up in bed & said, "Hello??" thinking that maybe my neighbor's computer had stopped working & she'd come downstairs without waking me to use mine. When there was no answer, I realized that it must be da Boyz. I still haven't figured out what they were doing that could sound like that.

Dex was saved from the drain as a kitten. Here they are meeting for the 1st time!

You lil kitten looks so much like my black one when he was a baby, I had to show the man. Gawd, he's cute.

He's 2yrs old now, ChatteParfaitt and a handsome, medium hair cat who LOVES the bathroom sink! He expects us to leave the faucet on a slow run so he can drink directly from it every morning!

VirginPotty -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 10:07:51 AM)

This thread and Charnequi talking about her new kitten has inspired me to contact the rescue group I used to volunteer for before my girl moved in w/her pets.  I've told them that I'm ready for a kitten to foster and they IMMEDIATLY replied that they're checking local shelters today so I hope to have a kitten by this weekend to surprise everyone [:D]

Charnegui -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 10:13:47 AM)

I suppose congrats are in place miss Potty? [:D]
Well coz' I have a small flat, I can't have more furries, but I have some great ideas to start a new company and do something about it. [:D]

But first of all I need to get back on my feet again.

(typo)

VirginPotty -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 11:28:46 AM)

Be careful w/starting a rescue group, Charnegui. It cost more $$ than people realize and when your friends/family know what you're doing they all know alot of people who want to dump their animals in your yard.[&o]  Hardly anyone wants to adopt but plenty want to give up their animals.

Charnegui -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 11:35:20 AM)

Thank you so much for your warning, but I might say of myself I know what I'm doin' I've been in rescue myself for over 5 yrs now, but it wont be all rescue, it will be a real commercial business, sort of dogservices, of which are thousands *sigh* I know, but based on brand new concept (for Holland) and my idea. And even the peeps I talk to without furries, think it is a great concept. [:)]  [:D] And no I am not all to clear about it *grinnn*

But first I need to earn the costs with my job [:'(]

VirginPotty -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 11:37:03 AM)

I understand. It does sound like you know what you're doing.
I wish you luck w/your endeavor!  The furbabies are lucky to have you on their side!

VirginPotty -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 12:06:51 PM)

You're very welcome, Charnegui.[sm=flowers.gif]

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 12:08:15 PM)

Amos is hiding, Cashew is probably getting into something..it's too quiet right now....

Charnegui -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 12:15:15 PM)

Or feeling your anxiety Greedy [&:]

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 12:20:46 PM)

heh.. Cashew just fell over.  He was in an empty box that was stacked  on top of others...I guess he shifted wrong, and he and the box hit the ground... he came racing out here, then sat next to me with that "I *meant* to do that" look on his face...LOL

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 12:20:58 PM)

They're hiding because they know that they're going to have to get in the truck today. When I drove a u-haul from Portland, OR to SF I brought Mr. Cat along. I also brought along a halter & leash for him so that he could get out at rest stops. At the first one, he waited until I finished my picnic meal & when it was time to go back to the truck, he headed north, tugging me along. Needless to say, he didn't get to get out again till we got there. [8D]

VirginPotty -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 12:23:08 PM)

Ooooo, are you leaving for GA today Greedy?

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (5/26/2011 12:23:31 PM)

lol Not today, Linnea.. pick up the truck tomorrow, and spend tomorrow and Sat loading.  I cant move into the new place until Sunday, so I figure no rush to load (good thing, since it'll mainly be me and Michael, with MAYBE some help from Steven tomorrow).
