Angel was so cute....I had a piece of cornbread for a late night snack and offered her a small piece, thinking there was no way she'd be interested in eating that, but she loved it. She's sure a far cry from picky little Misty, who turns her nose up at 99% of what she's offered.

Cash is just checking out the new digs!  Checking the traction on the corners and stuff.  When I moved to the new place, the kittehs spent the first 2 hours checking out all the cupboards and closets.  The apartment is IDENTICAL to the one I moved out of, but you'd never know it to see them!  It's like they discovered them all over again!

Squeaks is such a goof!  I have two large pitcher type containers that I keep my dry food in.  She'll get next to them and paw at them, scratching the sides....and she won't stop until I give her a few pieces.  It's in the feeders, but maybe she thinks she's scoring an extra "tweet"....I don't know...there's no telling with cats!

That sounds fun!

The car wanted some of the lasagna again.  No deal- I avoid people food with her.   I will share some things...

So with this weather- I am airing out the cellar--  most of them close the windows up- cement them shut.    Over time- they can smell.  So I have the trap door and the door open.  If I feed her she will sleep-- but when she gets up - she will wander down there... and outside... and I will be outside to catch her again.      Last night she slept on the floor not the bed-   which is odd- cause she can fit on 3 inches of bed. (it seems)

Pookie is lying in the open window. It's going to be 100 degrees outside soon & I would love to close the window, but da Boyz love lying there pretending to be outdoor kittehs. Besides, it's probably only in the 70's in this basement apartment so I think I'll survive.

Misty is having fun tempting fate, walking atop stacks of files and books in my office. She hasn't knocked anything down--yet. Angel just came in from outside. It's too hot out there even for her.

It is hot here too.

I did the flea spray on her, it says once a week.

She is sleeping on the bed-  I can see her from here.

She's gonna be a beeeeyooooootiful kitteh!  You can see her coat shine even now......

Sissy was out tonight with one of her beebees.....one of the black ones.  It almost looked ilke she's still nursing them.  I think they are about 4 weeks old, and thought they'd be weaned by now.  Me and my neighbor only saw the one, and when I took food over there, just the one ducked under  the building.  I'll keep an eye peeled for the others, but it's possible that someone has already scooped them up.  Someone's been taking milk over to them, but they wouldn't be able to digest it.  Now we just have to put the habeus grabbus on the little black one for my neighbor.  She wants one to keep Sugar company.  And Sugar wants a kitteh so badly it's killing her!  She tries to talk to Toby, but he's just terrible at teasing her.  They know Sugar is harmless, otherwise they wouldn't sit there and let her come to them.  Toby and Sugar have been nose to nose on many occasion.

awwwwww....all these little kittens around making me want more.

Congrats to WD on her new little housemate!

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: What is your cat doing? (6/9/2011 8:58:21 PM)

The baby pictures are adorable!!!

In my experience, a domesticated cat isn't fully weaned until about 8 weeks of age & they can have *issues* if removed from the mother before that age. I think that my boys were weaned too early because they like to knead the bed & drool & suck on it. I really must get some pics of them up here.

Charnegui -> RE: What is your cat doing? (6/10/2011 1:56:42 AM)

Panthera seems to do just right, although she was young, but she seems to have adopted Gaia as her substitute mom [:D]

But she is about 9 weeks old now... just have to ask what her d.o.b. is.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (6/10/2011 9:01:10 PM)

Sissy is outside with her little one......I haven't seen the other two, and someone was feeding them, so I wonder if the two of them got scarfed up for keeps.  That would be nice.  We're trying to catch this one because my neighbor wants it.  It's the little black one.....all roly poly and fluffy!

So, soon it's going to be a trip to the pound for spaying and neutering......I've been told they do for free, keep the kittehs for 3 days, and then bring them back to where they came from.   It's in an effort to contain the feral popluation.  I'm hoping to locate homes for them.

playfulotter -> RE: What is your cat doing? (6/10/2011 9:11:45 PM)

Gnocchi is up in the closet sleeping...I swear she drives me crazy with the food she will or will not eat...all she would eat was Whiskas wet food and Purina One Beyond dry food..they had a sale on that Fancy feast food that looks like actual meat and she won't touch it and it cost moe than the Whiskas food.  So funny!

playfulotter -> RE: What is your cat doing? (6/10/2011 9:42:55 PM)

What a black beauty she is...they grow up so fast!

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (6/11/2011 1:46:29 AM)

Well, otter, if'n you want to get rid of the FF, I'll take it!  The only other food my brats will eat is Friskies, but then it's only certain kinds...none of the mushy food, they want the filet stuff, which seems to be getting harder and harder to find.  They like Friskies and 9 lives dry, but I found the Iams in the blue bag, weight and hairball control I think, they will simply plow through.  Mainly because it has smaller peices.  I just wish it wasn't so much, almost $8 for a 3 lb bag, but since they eat it, it's not going to waste, and it's the first hairball control cat food I've found that actually WORKS......I've found one or two (yuck!) hairballs when they eat it.  Even the Science Diet wasn't that good!
