I don't think I could do that with da Boyz. They weighed 20 & 22 lbs when I brought them home. It nearly killed me to bring them into the house from the car, even though I brought them in one at a time. But the boy upstairs could probably catch a lightnin bug or two for them. I'd turn off all the lights & see what happened. [:D]

Pagla is a 24-pounder, all of it muscle. Which is fine -- I've become used to his trying to nap on top of my chest when I'm sleeping. But, the other day... I assume he was feeling ignored; for, after a few plaintive mews, he launched himself from the bed to the back of my neck when I was sitting at my desk. Now, I boxed when I was younger and am used to taking a few shots, but, believe me, I felt that. [:)]

WOWZA!!!! I thank my lucky stars that da Boyz don't do stuff like that. Although when I had my computer over at a lower level & sat in a lower chair, Booga would somehow end up on me. I don't have much of a lap due to my fat belly, so he would sort of lie upright on my torso, & he's big enough to take up the whole torso & then some. Booga is my lovie baby, Pookie is much more standoffish with me, but goes right to anybody who comes in the apt. Me, he tolerates because I feed him & provide water. *sigh*

My cat ALWAYS and without fail hears my car in the parking lot and is either there to greet me as I'm coming in the door, or she is coming down the stairs. And whenever I walk the dog, she sits patiently on the bottom step and waits for us to get back. She's so sociable, for a cat. Other ones I've had pretty much did their own thing.

I thought only my Squeek did things like that! He would hear my ex drive up and park, so he would walk over to the door and wait for my ex to come in. Of course, Squeek had his own motivations as the deal was that my ex had to give him some nice pats for being greeted after a day at work... if my ex didnt pat him, he would stay there and wait. Then I would have to tell my ex to get his friggin ass back to the entrance and pat him like he was supposed to! [:D]

It's so funny to hear Angel's little wee meow coming out of an 11 lb. cat, while little 5 lb. Misty is less than half her size and meows twice as loud!

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 2:15:56 AM)

The woman who gave me da Boyz also gave me carriers with beds in them, all brand new. For the longest time, Pookie has been sleeping on the comforter on the box on the chair & Booga's been sleeping on the top of one of the plastic tubs. Today, Pookie decided to sleep in the bed he came with & Booga's been sleeping on the comforter.

I live in what is essentially one room & somehow I manage to lose one of them on occasion. When I put food in their dish, the hiding one appears, but I never know from where. Dimension traveling. It's the only explanation.

Charnegui -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 4:59:16 AM)

Well when walking with Gaia, Panthera sits in the window, watching us walking and waiting for us to come back, I first thougt I imagined it, but then someone told me she did. (I live at the 5th floor)

I think it is awwwwwfull cute of her, she's still so little.

And I think Sassy is a beauty girlygurl... really. Can't wait till you having your recent pics transferred from your phone.

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 5:03:54 AM)

aww... Sassy looks liek CAshie!!

pahunkboy -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 8:13:36 AM)

My cat needs me to talk to her at least 1 hour a day.  If I am not into it- she will get in my face.  Jump on my lap-  she did jump on my back once when I am on the computer.    She even knows that I am SUPPOSED to be on the computer!

I think she can often tune her brain waves into mine.

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 8:28:37 AM)

Amos has a tiny voice compared to her size..

My Arrow had a HUGE voice, compared to his size.

Cashie has an itty bitty voice.. more like a sqeak.. LOL

Noodgie had a oh-so-pathetic-whimpery kinda mew

Simon's voice changed according to demand...

I dont think Baby ever did more than a teeny "mw" or purrr big and loud..

Gracious didnt speak much at all.. but regardless of volume, her TONE said it all////

Kaliko -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 4:51:49 PM)

My little cat is doing the "I just pooped and now I'm going to tear around the house and meow really loudly because I feel so light and free!" dance.

My Siamese just climbed into my lap to stay out of the freshly pooped cat's way.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 4:56:18 PM)

Misty loves the fact that I haven't put the laundry away yet and is enjoying sitting on top of it.

Angel is begging to go out again, but I think I'll hold off and let her go out later, so she'll be tired in the morning and sleeping in the house when Ms. Overzealous Busybody comes back on duty.

Kaliko -> RE: What is your cat doing? (7/10/2011 5:01:52 PM)

I just stuck my finger in my cat's mouth while she was yawning. That never gets old.

She does the cat equivalent of rolling her eyes at me whenever I do that.
