I suggest you stop being angry and try to figure out WHY she's doing this. Did you really think she would stop peeing just because you were moving her? That would be applying human logic to a cat - whose only thought was no doubt that she had to pee.

Thanks but I claimed nowhere to "be angry"...thats your interpretation...and just to remember, this thread is called what the cat is doing...not "i need advice"... I know pretty well to analyse the behaviour of my cat, but that doesnt mean i just watch her and wait until she is done...[8|]

Of course not but then you posted this:

Which implies that she is somehow doing it deliberately just to annoy you when she might be sick. Also note the liberal usage of the [>:] which implies being annoyed at what she was doing.

ETA: furthermore I'm not the only one who thought you were angry with her. So maybe it's not me/us it's the way you are expressing yourself.

Phoenix.. take her to the vet and have her checked to be sure there are no kidney problems.. seriously.

That is the same kind of behaviour my late, lamented Noodgie displayed when I moved from CA tio GA.. I thought he was just angry about the upheaval in his life.. turns out his kidneys were failing. He died less than a week after we got to Moms.

Thanks greedy, I go to the vet when I'm concerned, but for now I dont doubt that she is ok and that just her birman attitude comes out, a la she as a diva (how she behaves) doesn't have to go downstairs to the litter box...after all, she did piss on purpose on my sofa last year, when i dared to take away another slug snack from her...so whilst i go to the vet when neccessary, i also do consider her bitchy attitude which she (as often particular in birmans) has...

Misty is here talking to me with the "I want attention" meow, so I will give her some pats.

Angel is zonked out on "her" chair in the bedroom resting up from her outside nightime antics, whatever they were.

I thought the same, and the use of [sm=paddle.gif] when speaking of ones pet really concerned me.

On another note, LundDoms4aslave, Mystic is a cutie pie!!

LundDoms4aslave -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/18/2011 3:22:30 PM)

xxblushesxx -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/18/2011 3:55:19 PM)

If a cat is going outside the litter box, there is a reason and it's not because of its heritage. There is an issue and the sooner you figure it out, the happier the cat (and everyone around it) will be. I'd guess eight times out of ten it's a urinary tract infection, and the rest of the times, I can figure it out as well. (trial and a lot of error)

LundDoms4aslave -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/18/2011 4:04:14 PM)

yea we figured out that when Mystic starts going pee in the bathtub that shes saying her litter is to dirty and she wants it cleaned. speaking of the brat shes up and grooming above my head on my chair again.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/18/2011 5:45:24 PM)

KB was sitting right here in my face, staring and trying to convey soemthing....but I'm too thick to pick it up, so he's off pouting.  The rest of the crew is around, sleeping again....still....always!

My little guys outside are getting braver and braver.  They wander a bit about the bushes, the runt seems to be the wanderer of the bunch.  They little gray one actually ate some wet food today, the other two weren't intersted.  I've been picking them up and petting them, so they are getting used to that.  And Mama actually stood there and let me pet her for a few seconds....she usually ducks and runs.  It'd be nice if she would be friendly too.

The beebees haven't thought about what their names should be.....or if they have, they aren't telling.  Still a bit early to know if they are male or female.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/18/2011 6:42:49 PM)

Angel was very sorry she pulled a fast one on me and ran outside when I opened the door to take out the trash earlier. Within just a few minutes, it started pouring unexpectedly and there was even some light hail. The poor thing was out on the porch and ran right back in the second I opened the door. She's all wet so she must have gotten caught in it.

Misty usually isn't scared by storms. but there has been some loud thunder, so she ran off to hide.

LundDoms4aslave -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/18/2011 7:03:36 PM)

well mystic is back on her perch on the back of my chair awaiting a knat to come to close so that she can catch it. i just filled the water bowl and got sassed for not filling it sooner and then batted at when i was taking it back to its spot in the bedroom. other than that ive been playing with her tail the whole time shes been perched up there and then she starts talkin to me and battin at me and nippin trying to get me to leave her be. LOL

NuevaVida -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/18/2011 7:55:14 PM)

I tried to clip his nails but he just wouldn't have it.  Usually I can clip them while he's snoozing.  He'll wake up and "hmmfph" me, but if I'm slow and careful, he'll try to be patient until I finish.

But oh no, not tonight.  I got 3 nails done and that was it.  We'll try for 3 more tomorrow. Should be finished by the end of the week.  [8D]

LundDoms4aslave -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/19/2011 6:42:12 AM)

nueva i know the feeling a few weeks ago i was trying to get mystics nails and well by talking to her and catching her like 4 seperate times i got them all done in one day.

NuevaVida -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/19/2011 10:44:09 AM)

Yeah, sometimes I can get them all fairly easily in one sitting, other times it takes a few days [;)]

LundDoms4aslave -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/19/2011 4:49:39 PM)

Mystic is playing window kitteh right now while mommy is trying to remain motivated to do school work. Blech i hate school works.

xxblushesxx -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/19/2011 9:28:23 PM)

Make your cat do it. She'll learn something and you won't have to do it! *WINNING*

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/19/2011 10:09:12 PM)

It's raining cats and dogs here, I know this cuz I stepped in a poodle....puddle/poodle...get it?

So I get home, and when I go back out to find the kittens and Mama, KB decides he wants to go out too.  I told him he didn't want to, but just like a man, he didn't listen.  He got halfway down the steps and decided it was juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a little too wet out there for him.  Mind you, I was soaking, dripping wet just from the walk from the carport, maybe 30 feet, but apparently, that's not enough proof for Stoopid.  However, Smooch has the sense to not go out in the rain in the first place!  He listens to me, KB is just too pigheaded to try that!

I can't find the beebees, Mama did come out, I'm hoping she's got them someplace dry, since it's flooding in the bushes.  I put the food down under the overhang, but Mama went back to wherever she is.  I saw her in the carport, I hope the beebees are there with her.  I hate that they are out there, even tho Mama does her best to take care of them.  And now there's thunder added to the mix.  If I locate the beebees, I'm bringing them in til morning.  Mama won't come, but she's in the carport.
