I'm guessing that 'subtlety' is an unknown term to Fitzy, right? [:D]

pretty kittehs, Christine!

Litty Bit doen't look too bad...of course, there are the stitches, about 5 of them. I'm spoon feeding him now because he can't reach the dishes with that collar on.....same thing with water. If I had a stapler, I'd trim it down a little more...he can't see all that hot anyway, and it's not helping! But he's up and walking around, so so far, so good. Even tho he's walking backwards more than anything else...he apparently thinks he can back out of the collar. It's kind of funny, but I'm not laughing at him...out loud anyway. No sense adding insult to injury!

xxblushesxx -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 8:32:05 AM)

Fitz and subtle aren't even on the same planet.

He'll be good as new in no time! How long does he have to wear it? (I'm guessing until the stitches come out) Are they the kind that fade eventually or will the vet have to remove them?

EmeraldsPheonix -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 8:36:25 AM)

that just sounds cute s2s and he will be out of that nuesance collar and back to his old self soon and Blushes thats cute with the kittehs and dogs.

S2s thats about what its like with mystic and car rides she walks around till she finds where shes happy then lays down. when we were living outta the van she use to use them as climb and look outside to see what mommy and daddy were doing and soon we are going to be doing that again.

right now i have both midnight and mystic on the bed playing staring/stalking games with each other.

its cute. and of course by the time i get the cam ready he quits :P

Summer keeps teaching my parents that she ain't sleeping outside, when she can avoid it and managed three times this week to sleep inside due to successful hiding [:D]

Today she destroyed my dads evening meal plans, cause he left over an approx. Finger thick cooked slice of bacon from lunchtime and assumed that this would be safe when he just puts the lid on the pan [8|]

Well, that didn't stop her and her son to get onto that bacon (as a spoon was between the lid and the pan) and when parents returned back home, both were found sitting on the kitchen cupboard, chewing that bacon [:D]

I suppose they learned now to shut all three kitchen doors [:D]

On a different note I am now on flat hunt and so hope to have at least three of them soon with me again...

Blushes, what adorable kitty pics!

Angel spent the morning on the window ledge, spying on two of my neighbor's outdoor cats. Her pesty "boyfriend", Dusty, who also lives there, is apparently not home. Angel asked to go outside, so is probably now on her way over there to intimidate the other two cats.

A few weeks ago, Angel decided to start sleeping on the bed instead of on the chair in the bedroom. Ever since she made that decision, Misty has boycotted sleeping on the bed. However, it was cold enough last night that she broke down and slept on top of my outer thigh (I sleep on my side) like she used to do. I think she needed the body heat.

EmeraldsPheonix -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 11:29:39 AM)

Mystic that sounds about like how me and my hubby woke up this morning.

Mystic was at the small of my back streched out so she had paws touching daddy, midnight was curled up between my legs or on daddys legs depending on what he wanted at that time, Blondie was below mystic in between both mine and my husbands legs and well sasha did the whole FU all and slept in the floor or on my study chair.

EmeraldsPheonix -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 12:32:39 PM)

sleepy time and hang head off back of chair LOL

[image]local://upfiles/1250323/D69F5A49A05842B380FE352408348703.jpg[/image]

after i took that pic he put his head up on the chair then pulled his paws to his face covering his face then relaxed back to sleep.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 2:16:26 PM)

It's amazing how cats can twist themselves all up, or hang body parts over edges and still sleep! It's like they are made outta rubber!

The vet tech said he has to wear the collar for a few days. It's driving him nuts tho, he can't scratch his neck, and he tried to groom himself after eating, and, well.....that was a waste of time....tho his collar was clean! And he keeps walking into things....he has no concept of how big it is, so when he tries to walk thru the narrow places he could 2 days ago, he borks himself. Right now, he's sleeping on the bed again.....poor thing is pooped! I puffed up the blankets so he can rest the collar on it and take the pressure off his neck to sleep.

Batteries are dead in the camera, otherwise, I'd post pics.....the boys are still fascinated with Litty Bit's collar. Boo follows him around like a shadow when LB's wandering around. Squeaks won't go anywhere near him.....and Mooch gives him a sorta stinkeye look everytime he gets near him. [>:]

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 2:20:47 PM)

Mystic, I have the windows open, and they'll stay that way, so I'm pretty sure I'll be getting occupants in bed. Squeaks will sleep under the comforter, the 2 boys sleep on the bed pretty much wherever, depending on how chilly they are, KB sleeps on my pillows by my head, and Litty Bit sleeps on my shoulder under the comforter.

When they think they are really cold, all of them get under the blankets......which makes getting up risky...I have to remember to look for lumps first. I've accidentally kicked 'em out of bed before. Sometimes, they'll sleep next to my legs, which is nice....their weight makes me sleep better....little furry security blankets!

Yep S2S it is and it sucks that camera is dead but im glad LB will get it off by like wed at the latest. the sleeping arrangements are already being made: mystic is behind daddy grooming and streched out wating for mommy, midnight just came in and is sitting staring at blondie who is laying on daddys side of the bed, and sasha is probably having a hot flash being that she is 12 yrs old so she is probably right now sleeping in the kitchen which is the coldest room of the house.

other than that im reading a few more posts then off to bed i go.

yep gotta look for those lumps. I have felt midnight on my legs in my sleep and in a half asleep state kicked him off of me. i think that is why he has learned to sleep between my legs or some where near me but not on me LOL.

the other problem that my hubby and i have since midnight is black compared to mystics grey is seeing him in the dark when we walk around the house. he is easy to get stepped on or kicked at night because he plays the out of no where pounce feet or dart infront of feet game at the worst times.

The one I can find is sleeping in the clean laundry basket pretending no one can see her. The rest are probably grouped up somewhere debating how to get the doggies in trouble. Or perhaps how to get into the birdcage to eat the parrot!

LadyRedRose -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 8:31:45 PM)

all 4 are sacked out in the living room, curled up in the afghan on the couch. amazing how when it benefits them they'll all cuddle, but as a general rule, everyone must have his or her own space! how dare anyone invade it!

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/29/2011 9:53:30 PM)

I swear, mine are killing me!!!! Earlier, about 10:30 pm, my neighbor called me to tell me that Smooch was outside....and sure enuf, there he was....I never even saw him go out the door!

Just now, I got up to make something to eat, and heard someone meowing out on the stoop...thinking it was maybe Mama or Toby looking to get more food, I open the door....imagine my surprise when BOO pokes his head in the door! Never saw him sneak out too, and I have no idea how long he was outside! At least 4 hours, cuz I fed the ferals at about 8. At least he knew where to come back to....he's not a big fan of the outdoors, so I can't believe he snuck out on me! And since none of them answer when I call, and Boo likes to hide to sleep, I just figured he was in a hole someplace. I guess I'll have to start counting noses after I open and close the doors.

Litty Bit is doing ok....he's pretty much slept all day, we've been napping for most of it. He started purring, which made me feel better, until I realized that cats in pain sometimes purr. And then he started squeaking in his sleep, almost like a little snore. He's not done that before, but I checked online, and apparently the surgery can affect the nasal cavity temporarily, even him sneezing a bloody discharge. I hope he's not hurting much, I don't know what I can safely give him. And of course, the vet's office is closed on Sundays. He's not acting like he's in pain, or shaking his head, or trying to get to the eye, and I got the post op pain injection, but figure that's worn off by now. Other than having a cat spayed/neutered, I've never had one that needed the type of surgery he did, so I'm feeling a bit lost.

When Misty has slept on my outer thigh, and I have woken up suddenly, I have thrown the poor thing right off the bed (not intentionally, of course). Now, before I get out of bed, I have to sense if Misty is on my leg or not. If so, I have to move her before getting up. I like her sleeping there when it's cold because she's like a little hot water bottle and keeps me warm.

xxblushesxx -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/30/2011 6:33:17 AM)

My cats come when I call and shake the treat bag. (like temptations or something)

Every night before bed, I throw a bunch of them on the kitchen floor (they scatter all over the floor and HM read somewhere that it makes the kittehs feel natural like they're foraging) for a treat before bed.

This accomplishes two things; I can do a cat count. (before I started doing this, we would sometimes wake up to a cat locked in a bedroom or snuck outside) The second this it does is gives me a way to get them quickly when I want them. When I shake that bag, they think "oooh, treat! must see mama!" and they come running! [;)][:D]
