Could be worse, Greedy, he could sit there and stare at you until he guilted you into taking it off and preparing it for him to lay on!

I dare anyone here to tell me that they have never done that before for their furbabies! I even cover them up when I get out of bed and they elect to stay there.

We are all just a huge bunch of suckers! [:D]

Have any of your cats joined the occupy revolution yet? Most are "Occupy the Couch" or "Occupy the Bed" with some of the real hard-core kittehs doing "Occupy the Kitchen Counter"

Angel is in the "occupy the bed" camp and Misty is in the "occupy the couch" camp.

Puh-leeeeeze!

My cats started the Occupy movement years ago!!!!!! The counters. The bed. The couch. Any flat stable surface. The windows. You name it, they've taken possession of it!

As I speak, one is occupying the table to my left, one is in the space in front of the monitor, and two have claimed the pile of warm laundry for themselves.

Litty Bit had his followup visit at the docs today, he is healing even better than expected. He goes back in two weeks to get his stitches out. He hasn't even slowed down! It's funny, he lost his right eye, but he's right pawed, and he can still grab stuff with his paw. He's the one curled up in front of the monitor.....in a little tiny ball of cyooooooot!

He may be not much bigger than a minit, but he has the heart of the biggest lion on the Sarengeti! He loves to banzai KB, and KB will play with him for a while, but I watch them carefully, because I think that's how all this started. KB scratched LB, and well, the rest ya'll know.

This is one reason why LB will have a forever home here....in't he just the cutest??????? He's actually recharging his batteries....he'll wake up in time for me to go to bed.....then it's look out toes! [:D]

Ooooh! Occupy the computer desk! Making quite the statement, isn't he? Good on him!

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/2/2011 9:53:41 PM)

Yes, he's still small enuf that he can occupy the space there......frustrates the others because that's where they walk across the desk to get to the side tables. Heaven forbid they just jump up on the tables.....noooooooo....they jump up behind the monitor, then come around to stop in front of it, then continue on the way to the table. Kidz!

yourdarkdesire -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/4/2011 7:57:48 AM)

Today Angie is looking out the front window, mourning the loss of fall. We had our first snowfall last night, and it is probably here to stay. On the upside - we now have rabbit trax across the lawn, so there may be some entertainment for her during the night.

ooooooooo....Boozy's using 4 letter words!!!! Shame on you......but it's still better you than me that gets the snow! It's nice here today, 70 degrees, nice breeze and sunny!

Litty Bit is running around here jumping on anything and anyone that is moving. He's already jumped on KB's head three times, KB is now up here next to me in an attempt to stay out of LB's way. The vet called him feisty......got that in one! And he is a little piggy! He eats his plate, then moves on down the line, just elbowing everyone out of the way. Right now is mileage is about 4 hours per oz......at top speed. When he's awake, he's traveling at sonic speeds....doesn't know how to walk. He seems to have two speeds......~VROOOOOOOM~ and sleep!

Cats playing Patty Cake!  No, really!

I am more of a dog person myself, and I don't usually post cute kitten pictures and videos, but this made me laugh out loud, for a long time.

Speaking of laughing out loud for a long time, soul2shares signature line did the same thing.  Hilarious!

Awww. he looks so cute and peaceful.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/4/2011 3:38:43 PM)

It looks like Angel needs to be "coached" again. When Lily was alive, she used to chase her relentlessly. I had to use a system of the spray bottle to discourage that behavior, and treats to reward her when she interacted amiabily. It required patience, but she did respond.

She lately seems to have stepped up her chasing of Misty. A few weeks ago, she decided to start sleeping in the bed with me vs. the bedroom chair, and has now decided Misty should not be on the bed with us. Also, she seems to have increased her chasing during the day as well. After being yelled at and sprayed a few times recently, I did notice her starting to exhibit "chasing" body language, but then decide against it (of course she was rewarded for making a good choice).

Love this forum! I know it's dumb, but it never occurred to me that there would be so many animal lovers here. I have 5 cats at home and 5 more at my office, all charter members of Occupy Whatever. Can't use a computer in either place without a fuzzy bod in front of the monitor. Can't lie down to read or play on my iphone without my 23-pounder occupying my chest (gasp!, gurgle!). Wouldn't have it any other way. [sm=smile.gif]

xxblushesxx -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/6/2011 2:51:11 PM)

OMG. This occupy movement is really getting out of control. They ARE the 99%!

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/6/2011 3:10:56 PM)

It's one of those dull, dreary afternoons that is perfect for napping, and that of course, is what they are both doing :)

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/6/2011 4:25:47 PM)

Well, I just got home, so the plates are empty, and Bit-Bit is terrorizing KB......really, I love it...KB pesters me all the time when I'm trying to do things, now he has a pest! KB hopped up here by the computer, however, Bit-Bit gets up here too...usually by climbing my legs, since he's not big enough to jump distances yet.

Labor, I'm glad mine don't do the chest thing.....the lightest of mine is KB, he's about 10 lbs now, but the other 3 top 20 lbs....oof! It's bad enough when they walk across me in bed....just like I"m nothing more than a speed bump! For now, Bit-Bit curls up with me and sleeps on my shoulder, but he's still tiny. Even so, he can stratch out to about a foot of space when he's so inclined. And I have two TV tray tables next to my computer so I can have space there for the kittehs. Not that it stops them from walking across the keyboard......nothing short of an electric fence will stop that!

We love to hear all the kitteh stories, and see pics of furbabies. The ones you see here lately are of my newest addition, Little Bit. He lost his eye due to an infection, and that broke my heart, but it hasn't slowed him down one bit. I have 4 others, they are my children, my family and keep me sane when I'm nuts! I'd love to have cats at my office! Course, I don't think the work would get done......it's all data entry and there are computers everywhere! Talk about an Occupation! [:D]

As I'm typing here now, I'm surrounded by 4 out of the 5 kittehs......fun fun fun!

laborboleta -> RE: What is your cat doing? (11/6/2011 5:27:09 PM)

It gets even better when the dog gets on top too. He weighs about 30 lbs. Who needs a blanket? I think the record was 1 30 lb dog, 1 23 lb cat and 1 10 lb cat all spread on top of me at once. Heavenly, if a bit hard to breathe.

This is a picture of my big guy, Aaron. It's so tough to be him.

He looks extremely stressed out. You should get him some counseling. [:D]
