The kittehs are in seventh heaven since they have been getting canned food. They devour every morsel and their plates look like they were polished clean.

Well, I picked Angie up to give her some cuddles this morning, and I am pretty sure that she has last weight again. I will have to take her into the vet's next week to get her kidney blood work done, and her weight checked.

Cashie seems to be peeing (hard to be sure when there are 2 cats...)but he doesn't seem to be in any distress.

The kittehs are sooooo glad those strange men have finally left their house. I had a new air conditioning system installed today. The installers arrived at 8 A.M. sharp and were here until 6:30 P.M. The cats really don't like strange people in their space.

Well I put up a new patio umbrella last night, which is apparently very scary for Viktor. He has been going nuts at the sliding door, meowing incessantly at it, clawing at it, whining at it... Finally took a break during the night and started in again at 5AM - has been going ever since.

What. The. Heck. ???

my beloved Spooky is waiting for me at the rainbow bridge. he would have been three in august. he'd been his usual self, eating like a horse, drinking just fine, laying around the house like a lump, going out to lay in the sun. i noticed he looked a little funny over the weekend, like he was getting fat in the middle like some cats do. he woke me up at 4am this morning crying. one emergency trip to the vet later i have a tiny white cardboard casket and a broken heart. he loved to snuggle on my chest, kneeding my skin and sucking on my earlobes because he'd been taken from his mom too early. he was tossed out by a neighbor who had been feeding him wrong which caused him to have bad gas. he could clear a room at 8 weeks old. we took him in and loved him from the moment we saw him. i will miss that terribly. RIP my Spooky.

It's amazing how quickly one little animal can insinuate themselves so deeply into your heart. You will be together again, I truly believe that.

So sorry to hear about Spooky LRR - did the vet at least have any answers as to why this happened?

Angie has spent the morning looking out the back door and window. We seem to have acquired three little kitten strays during the past few days. Okay, the fact that I left food out for them probably encouraged them, but when they are hungry enough to be digging into not only all my garbage bags, bug a bag with a dirty diaper, I figured they must be starved. One of them is a really soft grey color, with white socks - I have named it Smokey. A second one who is dark gray with an orangy/brownish cast, with white socks, my little one named Buttercup. Need to see the third one more to come up with a name. They are at most 10 weeks old. My goal is to get close enough to get my hands on them, as one of my friends runs a rescue agency. They WILL NOT be outside when the snow flies!!!! I just wish I could afford to keep them - they are so so so so so cute!
