Well, one of them crossed the Rainbow Bridge unexpectedly this past weekend. Hopefully, he is keeping company with Cookie, our dog we put to sleep last year. He was an awesome cat and died way too soon.

The rest of them are finding a napping spot as they just had dinner.

OMG!!!!! How adorable!!!! Party in the tub, huh? I know Boo likes to take his pistachios in there and bat them around because the acoustics are great......which is NOT a good thing at 3am!

Hahaha! Betty, the little monster behind the curtain, gets in the tub and scratches in the corner at like five am every day. Wtf kitty.

Viktor likes to sit in the middle of the tub and meow his little heart out....I'm assuming because of the acoustics. I typically keep the bathroom door closed to spare myself shredded toilet paper all over the place, but if I forget, there he goes, into the tub.

Kyra, sorry to hear about your loss. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you and yours from me and mine.

I"m sure the two of them are together now, playing and snuggling, and just waiting for the day you're all together again.

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/13/2013 7:06:19 AM)

just found this text on the fb-page from a dear friend, when she rumbled about her zoo full of cats....so thought to bring it on here [:)]

DEAR CATS - The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food.
Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate of food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find it aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and it is not a Formula One race track. Racing me to the bottom is not the objective.
Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can... run.

There is no point racing to the phone or weaving in front of me when I am trying to get to the phone unless you plan on answering it.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a kingsize bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the sofa to ensure your comfort, however.
Cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible.
I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on each end to maximise apace taken is nothing but SARCASM.

For the last time, THERE IS NO SECRET EXIT FROM THE BATHROOM! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut,
it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the handle or get your paw under the door in an attempt to open it. I must exit through the same door I entered.
Also, I have been using the bathroom for years, feline attendance is not required.

The proper order for kissing is, Kiss me first, then go smell the other cats butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Mopping and cleaning the floor does not constitute the need for you to vomit up a furr ball. Neither is it required when visitors come.

And Finally, the fridge is not the great white god in the kitchen that you need to sit in front of and look adoringly at.

Phoenixpower: Cute (and so true), thank you for sharing :)

NuevaVida -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/13/2013 10:34:08 AM)

Hilarious! Laughed out loud at the answering the phone one. [:D]

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/13/2013 10:49:22 AM)

You are welcome [:)] I coincidentially discovered this today and had to laugh myself....knowing some of her cats and some of the events which occured there I can seriously picture it [:)]

On another note F was so nice today to carry my second chair upstairs today....a chair which was (when I carried the first one upstairs some months ago) happily claimed by Urmel....to recognise on its seat which changed somehow from black to white [8|]

Now...that chair was not even 5 minutes placed on my bed (for now) and who discovered it??? yep...Urmel [>:]

Later I realised he is nowhere to be seen, rather unusual from him and checked that chair...and yep...he happily sleeping on that one [8|]

I told him that this is gonna be my chair but the way how he stretched and rolled himself around on that chair I somehow have the impression he was telling me "you can have the old one...this one is mine now[8|]"

Well, time to put my desk back together and get that chair underneath there...and place something on top of it....to make Urmel clear, who is gonna win this fight [>:][>:][>:]

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/13/2013 7:20:01 PM)

Misty is up in her safe haven, six feet high up on the entertainment center. When she is being stalked too much by Angel, she can get away.

In order to get up there, she must first jump up on the chair, then walk across the mantle, then jump up on the entertaiment center. Not bad for a cat that will turn 17 on Tuesday. Angel is too chubby to fit on the mantle, so she can't get to Misty.

If she waits long enough, Angel goes and takes a nap and she can come down.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/14/2013 5:32:39 PM)

Angel was such a good girl today. I had a root canal this afternoon, then came home to lie down and recover. She snuggled up right up beside me, put her head on my shoulder and her cheek up against mine and stayed with me until I felt better and got up.

FindommeJinx -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/15/2013 3:24:24 AM)

Mine is sunbathing in the sun... such a model... thinks he is such a Don. Typical Siamese...Oh so very elegant and sophisticated

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/15/2013 7:29:10 PM)

Happy Birthday to Misty! She turned 17 years old today.

I made the mistake again of not making sure I shut the closet door tightly. Angel got in the closet today, pulled my new black sweater coat off the hanger, lay down on it, and got it covered with white fur.

Isn't it amazing how they can just sense we're hurting or ill? KB is my bedmate when I'm either. He curls up on the pillow next to my head and will touch me with a paw. When I had my appendectomy, he was always there in bed or on the sofa with me. Comfort on 4 legs......

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/18/2013 11:53:36 AM)

I swear, I'm going to beat me some kitty butt.....I was sitting here at the table, and out of nowhere, Bitty comes over and just bites me! Not a little love nip either, but a full on "CHOMP!" And the arrogant little shit doesn't bite and run, either...he sits there looking at me like "Whacha gonna do about it??!!", and does it again! The little shit has a set of brass balls almost as big as mine! I had the windows open earlier, and they all did the "FREEESH AIR!" laps and stoopidity all over the place.

UGH......cats!

They are amazing.

Years ago, my precious cat Pearl would sense when my heart was giving me trouble, and would immediately search me out and plant herself on top of my chest.

My friend has 3 Chihuahuas, Nacho, Teddy & Ellie. Whenever anything is wrong w/the latter two, Nacho comes to the rescue. Nacho is so much of a healer, he "takes on" the stuff (physical and emotional) of others, 2 or 4 legged. Last month Ellie received a Rabies vaccine. 36 hours later, Nacho had two seizures. He "took on" Ellie's stuff. I had to treat Nacho, homeopathically, for Ellie, bless his little heart!

Critters are incredible. I don't know what we'd do without them. My life would certainly would have suffered without them.

I always say Viktor and I saved each other. I needed something to take care of, and he needed taking care of. Those times I've been physically hurt, he's been right there. Even when I have bad cramps, he curls up right next to me and purs.

And OMG does he make me laugh. This morning he was batting a little piece of foam up and down the hall - pouncing, meowing at it, chasing it in fast motion....it was hilarious. Now he's just curled up on the foot rest part of my recliner. Sweet boy he is.
