^ Good slave. I especially love it when you beg & roll over! [:)] And you guys are right, the cats do wish I was their servant. The cats seem to want me to engage them in what they are doing instead of being interested in what I am doing unless it is to interrupt me. No cats on counters or walking on keyboards in this house, but I hear stories like that all the time. I picture the cats saying, "silly hooman, pet us the way I like it or we kill you in your sleep". How to Tell if Your Cat is Plotting to Kill You The dog, not so much. It is always willing to get involved or engage me on my level and try to help at what I am doing. Like if you are working on something, it will come and stick its nose in to see if it can help. It will look at you as if to say, "give me the wrench, I can fix that faucet . . . honest". If you are eating, although there is no begging during meal time allowed allowed in this house, when we get up from the table the dog is there to see if it can help do the dishes, or keep the floor clean by catching any food that might drop, or lick plates clean, or dispose of extra food to save us the time and trouble of wrapping it up and putting it away. Dogs are helpful like that ya' know. Below is a link to one of the best explanations of dog & human bonding behavior I have ever seen. The part about dogs being smarter than monkeys at social things and breeding passive foxes was amazing. Dogs Decoded (Nova)
