Sounds like Angel understands the whole possession is 9/10 of the law concept!

Yep, all of my cats do!  People wonder why there is a seat cushion on the dining room floor, rather than on one of the chairs, and I just tell them that Angel has decided that's her cat bed.  "Cat people" understand; the other looked puzzled or roll their eyes.

Angel likes it better than any cat bed I would have gotten her.

This is too funny....I bought another seat cushion to replace the one Angel hijacked.  I had it leaning against the other dining room wall, in a plastic Target bag next to the stuff I bought for a Christmas toy drive.  Well, Lily tipped the cushion over so that it was lying on the floor half out of its bag and claimed it for HER bed before I had the chance to put it on my office chair.  Now she and Angel can lie in their identical beds across the dining room and exchange hateful looks with one another.

Guess I'll be back at Target to buy yet another replacement seat cushion.  Maybe I should grab two while I'm at it so Misty can also have a "bed."

mine is hiding under the desk at my feet. little does he know he's got an hour til he gets bundled into the cat carrier to get down to the vets to check that he's ok to fly.....

summer is very moody again today but enjoys the fact that her son isnt able yet to follow her lieing on the top shelves in the lounge...

After 14 years, mine is waiting for me at Rainbow Bridge. I miss him.

ShaharThorne -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/10/2010 4:00:23 PM)

One of the kittens was waiting for me when I got home today when I got home.  It allowed me to scratch its head.  I cannot tell what gender this one is.

I think that this litter is more used to humans. [sm=hearts.gif]

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/11/2010 8:01:15 AM)

Angel is fast asleep on her cushion after a night carousing around outside.  Lily is right here, begging for attention.  Misty's looking out the window.

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/11/2010 8:28:28 AM)

urmel is in his hyperactive mode trying to play with everything i'm currently tidying up...so he finally pushed me now to order a water pistol...nuff is enuff with that bundle of energy...

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/11/2010 8:35:07 AM)

I opened the windows after a few days of leaving them closed....KB got a whiff of fresh air, and he's now running around like an idjit jumping on everything and bowling over his brothers.  Squeaks has the smarts to get out of his flight path to avoid that.

I know what you mean about the water pistol.

I have a spray bottle with a long distance range and I got it out again the other day.  Angel was tormenting Lily relentlessly and I had just about had enough of it.  Funny thing, she stopped immediately when she saw the water bottle, though I have never used it on her (yet).  Lily is well acquainted with "the blue bottle", though.  I have had to use it on her when she was doing the same thing to Misty that Angel is now doing to her.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/11/2010 4:42:34 PM)

All I have to do is place the water bottle out in sight someplace and they straighten up.  I only actually use it on the boys, Squeaks is a good girl, so she hasn't been squirted yet.  But of all the habits of KB's she had to pick up is his habit of pushing things off counters to get attention.  She usually only does it to the treats when she's feeling too lazy to rip the bag open by herself......she can also open the lazy susan cupboard to get inside to get them too!

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 10:59:54 AM)

Lily's thoroughly enjoying the seat cushion she claimed for her new bed.  Angel spent the morning outdoors and just came in to chow down.  Misty is looking bored.  My "foster son" Dusty was over here for a visit this morning.  Even though he has chosen to go live with my neighbor, he still likes to come visit.  He'a always welcome, as long as he isn't attacking Angel.

ShaharThorne -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 11:15:08 AM)

I hope the kitties are in a warm place (mom refuses to have cats in the house, period.)  Mom is cooking something with chicken and the bad parts (fat, gristle) have been reserve for the cats.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 2:01:54 PM)

KB decided that he was hungry yet again, and woke me up from the best nap I've had in a long time......now he's sitting here next to me glaring holes in me because apparently he didn't like the choice of food I put down.  I have no idea what to do with him......he doesn't even want the Fancy Feast stuff!  I'm running out of food choices here!

ShaharThorne -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 3:49:17 PM)

The female I petted the other day, we called her Lucy.  she was hanging around the screen door and the kids went grape ape over her.

When Mom put the scraps out, Lucy got there before the other cats.

I want to find the other kitties so we can get them shots and clipped.

ShaharThorne -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 4:51:19 PM)

Lucy is a brave kittie...

I was tossing out some water from a skillet that was soaking.  I open the door and Lucy jumps right in.  I told her to get back with me and Mom is yelling about her being in here.  She followed me out and stayed put.

Now I do want to get some dry food for all the cats (if they do reappear).

KMsAngel -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 7:21:11 PM)

puss is currently flying through the air to distant climes [:D]

he wasn't allowed to eat this morning and wasn't overly impressed.

he was put in his carrier and wasn't overly impressed.

he was left in a strange place and wasn't overly impressed.

he was madly twitching his nose at the two dogs in the carriers next to him. he seemed distracted, hehe.

he'll be with his sister (my eldest daughter, not a cat) late this afternoon. her cat will not be overly impressed either.

he'll be going to a cattery tomorrow. he's not going to be impressed at that either. but at least he'll have his own room!

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 7:35:21 PM)

Angel, why the travel for poor, tortured kitty?

I sure wouldn't want to be the poor soul who lets her out of that carrier!

Daddysredhead -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 8:19:08 PM)

Bubba-kitty is laying on the floor after a night of smacking ornaments off the Christmas tree.

far better for him to fly from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm in relative comfort of plane then for 9.5 hrs stuck in my car with possible high temps.

he was going to sleep in the car after half an hour. he's technically geriatric, so i'm thinking he'll sleep through most of it.

kidlet will give him big hugs and scratches, and his carrier is well padded with his own special bankie.

and he'll see me in a week!

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/12/2010 9:11:08 PM)

ahhhhhh, I see, Angel.  Yes, I have to agree, the plane was probably the better choice.  And maybe after a week, she won't want to chew you up!

Mine did travel in the truck with me when we moved, simply because I didn't have anyone on this end to keep them for me.  Once I let then out of their carriers, they traveled quite well, actually.
